If you are a fan of this genre, PLEASE ..... PLEASE .... Please add 'A Discovery of Witches' to your reactions ... It's a British fantasy television show based on the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness ... Bad Wolf and sky Studios production, starring Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer as a vampire and a witch who must learn about and fend off magical creatures. The only reason people don't mention it is because it came out 5+ years ago on sky TV. It was not originally a US market target. You need to give it a chance. Start with season 1 and see where it takes you. the seasons are short ... All three wouldn't take much time at all ... The first season only has 8 episodes, the second season has 10, and the third season has only 7.

Congrats, you are probably the very first ones to clock the point of this show this early, something some people realize usually as late as S2. And your thoughts about Lestat, the curiosity about his side of the story and seeing how he gets triggered by Louis' superiority over his kills and how Greg saw that Lestat was actually sincere with his admiration for Louis etc... Chef's kiss, thank you! As a book reader I have been desperate for a reaction like yours. Now I know without a doubt that you will love the show. For me the most poignant bit of this episode was the mirroring of when Louis said to Daniel "Sorry about my outburst (at the end of last ep, a single tear)" - but then he let Lestat dry his tears and let Lestat see him cry. Quite telling, isn't it?
