This was probably one of my favorites movies of all time at the time. Been a huge superman fan all my life and when they went with the realistic darker tone I was blown away. Only movies that have surpassed it are Zack's Justice League and a few Nolan films including dark knight & dark knight rises (I'm also a massive Nolan fan so I'm biased).
