Mission: Impossible III (2006) - Movie WATCH ALONG!!

Maggie Q has been in a lot of stuff like diehard with a vengeance, designated survivor but she's really known for her show Nikita. If you ever get a chance to check that show out I highly recommend it.

I've come to see this movie as the beginning of the M:I renaissance, this is the movie that takes this franchise into the realm of what M:I has become for the fans. This is the movie where we see two defining things about the M:I films from here on; the focus of the team really starts to play a major factor in the tension of the stories, and the focus on Ethan as a person and not just a kick ass agent. Next up is my personal favorite of the franchise or at least of the first four films in this octology, Ghost Protocol.

Meh to MI:3 for me! Other than TV's LOST & Alias I just don't like the directing/writing crew of JJ "Mystery Box" Abrams, Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman FILM efforts at all... Not the WAYYYY overrated MI:3, not the Abrams repeated Mystery Box stuff (Davion's Rabbits Foot in this film) and the constant dialogue of Scream, Screaming, SCREAMING over each other scripts with a big, then BIGGER, THEN BIGGEST SHIP plotting of their Nu-Trek movies, JJ's SW: TFA and the truly awful Rise of Skywalker (not to mention the Alex Kurtzman directed, Cruise starring "The Mummy" 2018 box office bomb that killed the Dark Universe before it started)... Plus a few of the MI:3 set pieces just seem copy & pasted from Cameron's True Lies, DePalma's Mission Impossible and Woo's MI:2... *The Keysi fighting method and top notch action film running by Cruise is GREAT though in this one!! The franchise TRULY takes flight with Director Brad Bird and his FANTASTIC MI: Ghost Protocol (still my 2nd MI fave after my #1 Fallout) is THE PERFECT BRIDGE film of this franchise! Taking the best ingredients of the first 3 films and leading MI into the Chris McQuarrie Syndicate Saga, that have all been excellent so far as MI: Final Reckoning is finally here :)

To me, this was the real beginning of the franchise as we know it. 1 and 2 are great and obviously part of the story. But this is where it really evolves into what we have now.

I love Maggie Q and Philip Seymour Hoffman was spectacular in this.

"How did I miss out on these movies for so long? This one's insane!" Believe me, this one's great, but yall ain't seen nothin yet. This is legit one of the best film franchises there is, let alone as action goes. I slept on it until I was an adult too, but once I started watching them after seeing Fallout in theaters, I was hooked.

Told ya they only get better as they go.. can't wait for you to react to the rest. So stoked about 4, introducing new characters better and bigger stunts.. So good. Side note Jonathan Rhys Meyers (the irish team member) starred in a film w/ Keri Russell the following year in a film called August Rush Robin Williams had a supporting role, it's a Musical drama, the music is so good and everyone in it brought their A game. The acting was really moving..
