2023-09-24 13:29:04 +0000 UTCOk I just watched the second one...wow! Had me gripped from beginning to end again. Both the opening and ending scenes were insane. And I could see the difference in directors but appreciated that the dark and gritty tone was still present. I couldn't believe Jigsaw brought the kid in there, I almost didn't keep watching because I was not prepared to watch him die (Erik Knudsen in Scream 4 š„). Oh and while the needles were intense, it was the wrist trap that got me the worst š« And damn, Tobin Bell really plays the Jigsaw role well, he's creepy as hell. Also, I kinda wish we got an explanation for the puppet dude, like it's creepy but I also find myself laughing at it like...why? š

I think I enjoyed the pace of this one much more than the first one (as well as the visual horrors) š¤£ Honestly I feel much more traumatized from this one visually than the first one and I definitely pulled the blanket up over my eyes more than I should have but there's something about that needle pit I just couldn't look at it vs everything else shown lol and also not gonna lie there's this part of me that really wishes she had played the tape before sticking her damn wrists in there because I just wanted to hear what the rules were for that one š¤£š

2023-09-23 00:29:02 +0000 UTCAww thanks Heather š«¶š½ I will keep ya posted on my thoughts. As for the first one, I just loved how dark and gritty it was, that lower budget aesthetic is my jam. I was genuinely creeped out several times. And that twist at the end knowing Jigsaw was literally in the room with them the whole time just made it all the more creepy and disturbing. The whole thing with Adam and the key was just devastating. And I was genuinely frustrated how it all played out for poor Tapp š« I was just gripped the whole time and intrigued to watch the mystery unfold throughout. Oh and I did not know Cary Elwes was in this one so that was a very welcome surprise! And I instantly recognized Dina Meyer from Friends š Anyways, that's all the thoughts I have for now. I loved it! And I know the budget increased for the second one so I'm excited to see how that affects everything!
