Virtual Reality in Rack 2
Added 2015-12-31 20:01:18 +0000 UTCHey folks!
Those of you who watch my streams know that I really, really want to support virtual reality in Rack 2. In order for this to happen, I need to get my hands on a devkit.
I've set up a one-time campaign to try to get enough money together to buy a devkit the next time a batch becomes available. If you're interested, check it out:

2015-12-31 21:53:32 +0000 UTCVerify that there is a (real) gyroscope on your phone, otherwise (with only an accelerometer) it won't work :/ And, I'm not sure you could run Rack on a phone, carboard sdk is good for small games but you'll set your phone on fire if you try to use Rack's cloth mesh system on it

2015-12-31 20:21:22 +0000 UTCThe DK2 is not really "sold out", they stopped it because of the CV1 coming soon. Anyway, my DK2 is ready for Rack 2 :] http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/53/1451593116-dsc-0047.jpg

2015-12-31 20:19:29 +0000 UTCI have! I looked into Cardboard and the Gear, and I'm considering them as backup options. Unfortunately, the lower hardware probably means I'd run into major performance issues, which would make it very difficult to test how the game will actually look/feel with proper equipment.

2015-12-31 20:13:26 +0000 UTCHave you thought about looking at the Google cardboard sdk? Its a pretty cheap entry into vr, just a relatively modern phone, and about a $30 headset to put the phone in. The sdk is supposed to run Unity content. The drawback is less gpu, and its much lower resolution.
