2022-08-31 18:09:27 +0000 UTCTo be fair, Kass' inner monologue didn't describe his weapon as the only thing he could rely on - he described it as "one of a shrinking number of things I can still rely on." It IS possible he no longer counted Elim as one of those things, due to Elim not handling the whole "cracking open another person's skull" thing verywell, however. If so, he'll be proven wrong long before they reach Val Salia.

How did Hemingway put it... "Good storytelling: Make sympathetic characters. Then hurt them."
