Marine Biology: page 8-11

Elizabeth should pay better attention to her HUD. Proximity sensors are there for a reason. And now it's time for the heapod to play with her...

This week's update has 4 pages in total. You can find the other three in the archive (the link has been updated). I hope you enjoy.
The hexapod is going to have to remove the helmet at some point, if only to feed her and give her something to drink. I wonder how nutritious that slime gunk is...

I'd like to see the helmet come off, mainly to see her hair fan out in the water... I enjoyed her hair in her demonstration ;) I would also like to see the hexapod take it's time with her, I enjoy the slow burn and would like longer stories myself, with more visual scenes to savor for a character's encounter... Though the artist must follow his preferences and I can understand liking to bounce around to more stories.

Very nice description of that scenario, Snake!
I agree, I am also in favour of keeping the helmet. It would also be a strong visual clue that she is trapped in a very hostile environment, adding to her vulnerability and helplessness.

IMO, I think the helmet should stay on. It's more convenient for her, but more importantly it heightens the claustrophobia.
Just imagine it from her perspective: She's trapped in a tiny, glass cage, unable to hear anything except her jagged breath and the occasional underwater gurgle. Her field of vision is limited, so she can't see what the trilobites doing to her body. And she's tormented by her own screams of agony, as they reverberate inside her helmet.

The way you previously described the Hexapod as being smart as well as considered evil and toying with it's prey reminds me of the Shamu whale from Seaworld, where it dragged its trainer to the bottom of the pool, let her go to swim to safety and when she was almost there it grabbed her again and dragged her back down. Can't wait to see what ways the Hexapod will play with Liz.
Keep up the good stuff! 😁

I just love how the Hexapod is going straight for the goods

Hagfish eel-like creature uses amazingly strong skinner underwater. Check it out. Pretty sexy. :)

The squid's position in page 11 makes me think he's curious how she tastes : )

The hexapod lays eggs in clusters by means of an ovipositor located just above the mouth (A-C). The ends of the tentacles secrete a sticky substance it uses to encapsulate egg clusters. The slime can be spun into string, normally used to anchor the egg clusters to the sea bed (D).

Your art it’s just genuinely impressive

Since Elizabeth dived down specificly to get eggs of this Hexapod, we can safely conclude that everything goes according to the plan. Also, I doubt for the see creature it will make much difference which hole gets filled with eggs. More space is more space after all and i guess this kind of eggs only need their environment to be relatively moist, and i guess both we, the creature and the "prey" have for once alighned goals. We all want Elizabeth to end up with as much eggs as she can. >:)

Actually there are bunch of sea life that uses slime but they are usually the seafloor kind of life like sea cucumbers and snails. So, the Hexapod being able to slime Elizabeth isn’t an unreasonable ability for it to have.

I don't know about the webbing on frame 11. I understand WHY you had to do that, she has to be restrained in some fashion for the oviposition, yet..most underwater life isn't that advanced from an evolutionary standpoint so if anything a paralytic would have been more accurate. It may have made sense to have her stung, knocked unconscious, placed into a suspended egg sac post-oviposition, so when she wakes up she CAN get out of her predicament but it still gets us to an acceptable conclusion. But to be fair.. we're not here for a biology lesson.

Great start, I kinda wish the hexapod would take her to the shore/beach or near her ship so he could have his way with her without that helmet.

(accidentally posted too soon) Image 10 has a lot of details I like, too: Elizabeth's elbows being forced together behind her back, tentacles being just barely translucent so you can see the stretch of the muscles within, the heapod squeezing between Elizabeth's thighs giving the impression that she's straddling a mass of tentacles, all marvelously done. And like many others, I'm a fan of seeing roaming tentacles slithering beneath skintight clothing, so a massive thumbs up on image 11. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Excellent work, as always. The build-up from the earlier sets did a great job setting up the action seen here. I really love the expression you gave Elizabeth in image 09. To me, it says, "It was at this point she knew, she fucked up."

I'm very impressed by this series - and I love the slime and how those tentacles slip under Liz's swimsuit.
