Seraph Of The End: Omega - Chapter 2

Six months came and went since that day you met Hiragi Mahiru. And honestly, sometimes, you thought it was a dream. Nothing really changed after that, at all. You went through your daily duties with the experiments, you dutifully trained, improving and studied hard. And the spent the rest of your time with your games and anime.

Some kids at the orphanage got adopted. And one new child appeared. a boy by the name of Yuichiro, preferring to be called Yu. He quickly fell into a group with Mikaela though and a bunch of other kids, playing at 'family'.

Yet, a gnawing at your chest persisted. You watched them play in the yard from your window from time to time. You didn't really see what was so interesting about their little make believe games, playing tag and such. But, the gnawing in your chest, became an ache the more you watched them.

It took you quite a while, before you realized that it was caused by an emotion. Envy.

That conversation you had with Hiragi Mahiru, whether it was a dream or fake, it had planted a seed within you that had begun to sprout. You had never envied anyone before. Yet, as you watched them, it spread through you. They so very clearly had grasped that emotion that Hiragi claimed you lacked and what you needed.

Love. Familial love at least. Even 'Yu' as he preferred to be called, surly and angry as he was constantly couldn't hide his smiles from them.

You sighed, hands in your pockets as you walked through the streets of Tokyo. It was a simple matter to escape the orphanage for a little bit of time alone to yourself to think, and something you'd been doing more and more lately after you met or dreamed Mahiru, observing the world outside the narrow one built around you in the orphanage

You walked through the streets taking in the people going about their daily lives. Couples holding hands and whispering to each other, kids with their parents asking for toys, the miserable hobo's on the street corners.

It was December and snow had already fallen, winter had already come. Yet, the cold did not bother you.

You made your way to the local park and took a seat on the bench. You leaned back with a sigh, head hanging over the back of the rail, "..What am I doing?" you wondered.

You could be back in your room right now, watching anime and playing games. You had finally managed to get your hands on a shiny Charmander not long ago in the newest pokemon game.

Instead, you were out here trying to figure out what was lacking in you. Why were you so jealous now of some childish brats playing house.

"That's a good question," a familiar voice spoke up from in front of you, "Why are you out here, at this time?"

Your head whipped up on instinct to look at who spoke and your eyes widened in shock when you spotted a familiar purple haired girl in a school uniform, shining crimson red eyes glittering with amusement.

'Wait crimson?' you blinked. Her eyes had not been red before, nor had they been slitted.

"So what are you doing out here at this time little Sun King?" Mahiru asked with a giggle, "Don't you know there's bad people out in the world that will target little boys out alone like you?"

You stared at her in a bit of a daze for a moment before you gave your head a shake, "I'm quite well aware," you drawled in reply, "I'm looking at one right now. A girl who likes beating up children."

Mahiru giggled again and leaned forward, hands clasped behind her back, "That's not nice Taiyou-kun, you'll hurt my feelings saying things like that~"

Well, at least you had confirmed she was not a dream. "Why are you here Mahiru?" you asked, getting straight to business. It couldn't be a good thing that this girl that rambled about the end of the world had popped up in front of you again.

"I came to see you~" she replied and skipped over to take a seat next to you, "This is my last chance to speak to my cute little Taiyou-kun after all since the beginning of the end is starting soon."

"The beginning of the end, huh?" you mused, digesting her words. So that apocalypse thing she was talking about was beginning soon was it? You'd believe it when you saw it, "Forgetting that, what happened to your eyes?" you asked.

"Oh, you like them?" Mahiru pointed to her eyes and smiled widely. So widely, you could see her teeth clearly, and see that her canine teeth had become long fangs, twice the length of any other tooth, "It's cuz big sis Mahiru is a vampire now!"

Your eyes widened slightly. Somehow, you didn't think she was lying.

"..And what exactly does being a vampire mean?" you asked after a moment.

"Mmm, nothing much, honestly, though I am way more unstable now," she gave a giggling reply again. She casually dropped a statement that was actually quite scary, she was already unstable from what you'd seen of her before! "But, beyond that, it gave me a massive boost to all my abilities. I'm so much stronger now it's unbelievable."

"How much stronger?" you asked, curious despite yourself. She was already a monster before, so fast you couldn't even follow her with your eyes. How much stronger could she become, really?

"Hmm, I wonder?" she mused cryptically, swaying from side to side lightly. She then reached over and placed a hand on your shoulder, "Lemme give you a demonstration!" she gripped your shoulder tightly and then butterflies exploded in your stomach as the word suddenly shifted and blurred around you in a streak of dizzying lights.

It only lasted what had to be a few seconds at most, but when the blurring disappeared, you found yourself laying on your back staring up at the night sky atop a building. In the distance, from your peripheral vision, you could see the bench you were sitting on before, hundreds of feet away.

.....What the hell was that!?

"Well, what do you think?" Mahiru stepped over you, legs on each side of your head, hands on her hips and beamed down at you, fangs displayed proudly, "Isn't big sis amazing? You can praise me all you want you know!"

You gaped up at her for a moment, but swallowed the thousands of questions and awe running through you. "..Nice panties." you shot back at her. With her standing above you the way she was, you could see clearly up her skirt and the lacy purple panties she was wearing.

Mahiru gasped, placing a hand in front of her mouth and stared down at you with crimson eyes full of shock, "Oh no! Cute little Taiyou has awakened to the evil lusts, could it be you aren't a cherry boy anymore?" she looked from side to side, "I have to hurry and call for help before Taiyou-kun pushes me down and has his wicked way with me!"

"I'm only eight," you rolled your eyes, "And even if I did feel like that, there's no way I could. You're even stronger now than before, you could kill me with a flick of your finger."

...Despite what you said though, it was quite hard to tear your eyes away from the sight you had up her skirt. You blamed it on society and the anime they gave the go ahead for the public to watch.

Mahiru raised an eyebrow at you when you didn't turn your head away. Ah, she knew. But, she didn't comment. Instead, the girl dropped to her knees and straddled you, "You're not wrong," she replied and raised a hand to your face to cup your cheek, "Neh neh, Taiyou-kun, are you ready? It won't be long now, only a few days. And there'll be lots of vampires like big sis around."

You stared up at the girl as she sat atop you and frowned, "If you are actually serious, probably not," you admitted, "I didn't even know vampires were a thing until a minute ago."

..This was really going to cut into your game time. Wasn't it?

"Mmm, as expected, but it's good you know that," she nodded sagely, "I've been keeping an eye on my cute little Taiyou-kun and while you've gotten stronger since I last saw you, you're nowhere ready to fight what's coming."

"....Oh great, a world full of kid lover vampires like you, I fear for my chastity." you deadpanned, hiding the trepidation you felt.

Mahiru laughed lightly at your reply, "If you try and tease big sis like that, I might just take you up on that," she said, leaning forward, her head approaching yours and her long purple hair hanging own like a curtain, strands of it tickling your nose, "You smell amazing you know Taiyou-kun, it's taking all I have not to give you a little kiss on that cute little neck of yours and suck out your blood. I didn't think it would smell this good."

Your frown deepened, her words bringing a thought up to you, "..If I'm not ready, does that mean you're here to turn me into a vampire like you?" you asked.

She reached down and flicked you on the nose, before standing up again, "Nope!" she answered cheerfully.

You lay there for a moment, rubbing your nose. Just like before, this woman was hard to deal with, "Does your lover know you go around propositioning young boys?" you asked, pushing yourself up.

"Well, maybe he shouldn't be hanging around with that little harem of girls in love with him then," she shrugged, unrepentant. Mahiru turned around to ace you and grinned, cupping her large breasts through her school shirt and bouncing them in her hands, "Maybe I should let you have a little feel of my huge boobs? A little reward for what you'll go through soon."

You frowned and stepped over to her until you were only a step away, "What are you here for really? Just to give me another cryptic warning and disappear? No, that doesn't seem to fit the atmosphere right now." you asked.

The playful look on her face disappeared and she let go of her breasts, and reached over to gently cup your cheek, "Ah Tai-chan, always so smart and intuitive, always so cute and inquisitive." she mused softly.

"..The way you say that, makes it like you've known me for a long time, but we only met the once before tonight." you replied.

"Only that you remember silly," Mahiru smiled lightly and stroked your cheek with her thumb, "You're my pride and joy, do you know that? The single best thing I ever had a hand in and my little hidden trump card to stop a god. And this really will be the last time I'll get to see you."

Your mind raced at her words. So you had met her a lot of times then, and it was only you that didn't remember. And the way she spoke, she implied that she was the one that was behind the experiments done on you.

And there she went again, speaking about gods. And that you were the one meant to oppose a god. "How...what do you mean?" you trailed off, confused, "How am I your trump card? You're far stronger than me, like so much stronger than me it isn't even funny. How can I deal with something you can't?"

"Wrong," she flicked you on the nose again with another giggle, "You don't know it yet. But you're far stronger than me. You're just not ready to control your power yet. And even without it, if you keep up the pace you're going now, in a few years, you'll be as strong as me, you just need to survive until then."

Power. She was implying you had some supernatural ability of your own that was incredibly powerful. And most likely, it had something to do with the sun.

"..Does this have something to do with why you keep calling me the King Of The Sun?" you asked, rubbing your nose again. Why did she keep flicking you?

"Ding ding, Taiyou-kun is so smart!" Mahiru clapped her hands and praised you, "Yep, and you'll find out in a few years."

...That was annoying. "If it's in a few years, how am I gonna survive against vampires like you?" you wondered.

"By keeping your head down of course," Mahiru shrugged, "They won't kill you unless you make them, didn't I tell you? Your blood smells so good."

That seemed like a terrible thing to bank your survival on.

Mahiru suddenly frowned and whirled to the side, looking off into the distance, "..Ah, I thought I had more time." her shoulders slumped slightly and she sighed. The purple haired girl looked over her shoulder at you and gave you a sad smile, "Looks like I'm gonna have to get a move on Taiyou-kun. It's too soon for them to find you." she said and then looked back over into the distance at something you couldn't see or sense. It was probably a vampire sense thing.

More cryptic crap though? No way, she didn't get to cause you bother like this and disappear on you and leave you stewing without a little comeuppance, "Oi, Mahiru." you stepped  up to her again, and when she turned around at your voice, you lifted your hands up to her chest and filled your palms with her soft bosom, "Honk honk, don't offer things like that and expect people not to take you up on it." you squeezed her large soft breasts and drew a squeak of surprise from her.

A squeak of surprise that you relished.

Mahiru stared at you in a small bit of wonder and shock for a moment, crimson red eyes slightly wider than usual before her lips curved into a wide smile, "Ah Taiyou-kun, you're so bold!" she wrapped her arms around you and pulled you face first into her chest, "I'm gonna miss you!"

Despite yourself, you could not help but enjoy the hug. It was funny, this crazy girl was the only one you ever remembered hugging you in your life.

"Neh, Taiyou-kun," Mahiru spoke up softly a moment later and you looked up from her chest to meet her eyes. She was staring down at you with a small smile, "Big sis is gonna give you a gift, kay? Think of it as an early Christmas present."

"...What kind of gift?" you gave her a weird look.

In response, Mahiru bit her lower lip with the pair of upper fangs she had, piercing it and letting blood flow freely, and then before you had a chance to ask why she did that, her lips were pressed against yours and her tongue forced your own lips open, the metallic taste of blood invading your mouth as her tongue met yours.

"Mmph!" your eyes widened in shock.

You tried to push the older girl off, but to no avail. Mahiru was just that much stronger than you. So, you decided, you may as well enjoy this. The anime you watched put quite a lot of importance of first kisses, so you decided to enjoy this and learn from it as much as you could.

You pushed against her tongue with your own, not backing down and trying to wrestle it into submission. And before long, you had lost yourself in the moment, your hands gripped onto the girls long hair.

It was weird, and wet. But at the same time, it felt oddly good, and made your cheeks warm. But all good things must come to an end, and as her blood flowed into your throat, the good feeling was replaced by a burning pain.

You limbs locked up from the pain and you pulled back, gritting your teeth. IT was like nothing you'd ever felt before. It was like molten flame was growing from the center of your stomach and spreading through your entire body, lighting your very cells ablaze.

You would have fallen if Mahiru's arms didn't wrap around you and gently lower you to the ground, "Don't worry, it'll only last a few moments," Mahiru smiled warmly down at you with bruised lips, yet weirdly the cuts on her lip had already healed. She gently touched a finger to her lips and her smile widened even as you spasmed from a pain beyond any you'd felt before, "But my, Taiyou-kun, you're as talented as always huh? For your first kiss that was really good. I guess you won't be a cherry boy for long, huh?"

"W-what's g-going on?" you asked her through gritted teeth, doing your best to ignore the pain. Compared to the pain you'd felt when she beat the crap out of you during your first meeting, pain that you'd ignored easily, this was like the difference between heaven and earth.

"You're not turning if that's what you think, so don't worry Taiyou-kun," the purple haired girl told you as she gently stroked your hair, "You're the King Of The Sun. Vampires are weak to the sun. Your very nature is complete antithesis to them, it's impossible for you to become one. What I did, was give you a little booster shot. You won't change, but the blood I gave you, before its burned out and you build up a full resistance to it, should make you a bit stronger."

"That...so?" you grunted. "Thanks...I guess." you ground out. There was no denying it now huh? The supernatural was clearly real.

And bit by bit, the burning pain began to recede, leaving you a panting, sweating mess as you lay on your back on the roof.

"I have to go now Taiyou-kun," Mahiru gave you a sad little smile, "This will be the last time we ever see each other in the flesh, so take care of yourself okay?"

"W-wait." you said, pushing yourself up to a sitting position. There was still so much you didn't know, so much you didn't understand and so much you wanted to ask this mysterious girl.

Her arms wrapped around you once more in a hug a moment later, "Taiyou-kun," she whispered in your ear, "Bye bye." and suddenly, she was gone like the wind. All you saw was a blur of motion and then she was gone, you barely even felt as she pulled away from the hug,

You sat there in a daze. There was something heavy in your chest, and it made you want to vomit. But you held it back and stared up into the moon shining brightly from above, "She's gonna die huh?" you mused softly.

It was hard to swallow.

You sat there on that roof for ten more minutes, thinking on the mysterious Hiragi Mahiru before you finally regained your bearings and pushed yourself to your feet.

That was when something occurred to you though. You walked over to the edge of the roof and looked down to the street below. The street a good hundred or so feet below, "..How the hell do I get down from here?" you wondered.
