Highschool DxD: Scotland Forever - Chapter 7.1
Added 2022-03-13 04:35:29 +0000 UTCHe took off at breakneck speeds towards where he sensed Irina's aura disappear. The second he did though, he felt the exact same thing happen to Kiba and Xenovia.
Before he was even half way there though, less than ten seconds later, he felt Xenovia and Kiba's aura's appear again and they travelled quite an impressive speed as they ran in the opposite direction.
There was a good few miles between where he met Azazel and where he felt Irina disappear, so by time he reached his destination, over two minutes had passed.
"A barrier, huh?" Yarden mused, stopping mid-air and looking down at the forest below him. Half of it was sectioned off by a massive dark coloured swirling barrier.
It was a pretty impressive barrier for sure. Way beyond anything the likes of Freed or any low level Fallen Angel could set up, hell he doubted a barrier of this size could be cast by even Rias Gremory or Sona Sitri.
So that meant, this was Kokabiel then most likely.
Good, good.
Yarden stopped flapping his wings to keep himself a float and fell hundreds of feet towards the barrier, flipping around mid-air once as he did and straightening both legs straight out.
His double-mule kick pierced straight through the barrier, like a sledgehammer on a pansy boys nose, a sound akin to shattering glass ringing out loudly, though the holein the barrier was only as large around as his body was long.
As soon as he smashed his way inside though, he felt three distinct holy energies immediately, Irina, Freed and another, vastly more powerful one, a massive ocean of power that dwarfed even his own.
…In his base stat at least. And didn't even come close to Serafall's power.
And nothing he couldn't hand either.
His wings flapped hard enough to generate a sonic boom and he launched rapidly through the air to where he sensed the three of them, closing the hundreds of feet distance in moments.
He landed not far off from them, a few dozen feet at best, the sheer force of his landing as he did, making the ground shake like an earthquake.
"Hoh, who's this then?" a deep baritone voice hummed from above him in the sky, the owner of the vast power he could feel, "I wasn't aware there was someone this powerful hiding around here."
Yarden ignored him, his eyes instead went to the other two. Specifically, two the tall, slender white haired youth standing with his foot pressing down on the head of a familiar twin-tailed girl, her black combat bodysuit absolutely shredded and showing off her voluptuous breasts and toned stomach clearly, her body beaten and bruised quite badly all over, and dozens of cuts oozing blood across her the expanse of her torso, though quite specifically all avoiding her breasts, clearly intentionally.

Irina, looking barely conscious had her lovely violet eyes go wide, "D-devil-kun?" she stuttered, looking at him in shock.
"Oi," Yarden glared at Freed, "Where do you think you're putting your foot you faggot twink?" and then let his magical aura flare out ominously, like a blazing inferno and directed a wave of killing intent towards the white haired former exorcist.
"Eeeh!" Freed went wide eyed and jumped back on instinct, "The hell is this crazy devil fucker!? I almost wet my pants there! Poor little Timmy would have to smell the piss later!"
Yarden ignored the twink for now that he was away from Irina and made his way over to her, "You okay?" he asked.
"I-I'll live," Irina coughed, still staring wide eyed at him, "…B-but what are you doing here?"
"Didn't I tell you?" he smirked, "It would be a shame for a girl as beautiful as you to be killed because of someone as insignificant as Kokabiel."
Despite the situation, Irina's cheeks warmed up, "…Ah, you were actually being honest about that?" her lips twitched up.
"I only say what I mean," Yarden replied, then pat her gently on the head, "You rest here for now, I'll take care of this guy." he assured her confidently.
"W-wait!" Irin's eyes widened again as he turned away from her, "He's so strong, way stronger than we thought possible, you could di-"
"Trust me, this won't take long." Yarden assured her, giving her a confident smile before finally deigning to give Kokabiel his attention.
Or at least the attention of his eyes. His senses had never once left the bastard since he got within this barrier in case he did actually try something with Yarden's back turned.
"Bold words devil boy," Kokabiel snorted down at him, a tall, slender man that was probably once incredibly handsome, but hate had twisted his features to almost horribly bat-like, his face gaunt, ears long and tipped like an elves and his chin jutting down long like an arrow, crimson red eyes glinting with the desire for battle, "Are you sure you can back them up in the face of one such as I?" as he finished, Kokabiel raised his hand and holy power spread across the sky.
A mere second later, thousands of huge spears of light longer than Yarden was tall filled up the sky, so many in number it almost blotted out the roof of the barrier.
In response, Yarden merely snorted, with a thought the gauntlets of Delete Field manifesting in an instant, "By my right as the greatest son of Scotland, I declare your use of light invalid." he declared and clicked his fingers.
As he did, a massively ripple spread out throughout the area, spreading across the insides of the barrier almost instantly, faster than the eyes could see.
And as it did, the thousands of huge light spears, fizzled completely out of existence.
"You…what did you do!?" Kokabiel's eyes went wide in shock and horror.
He must have realised, that it wasn't only the light spears that disappeared, but also his ability to use light as well. And as long as he was within the range of Delete Field, he would never be able to use it.
"Hmph," Yarden snorted arrogantly, holding out his hand. A blaze of golden fire ignited in the air and from it, a familiar crimson red, basket handled claymore appeared in his grasp, "I just used the power God and Scotland bestowed on me to negate your power, now it's about time for me to kick your scrawny arse boy."
"B-boy?! I'm thousands of years old!" Kokabiel sputtered, before shaking his head, "And how is it you can speak the name of God without suffering backlash as a devil?"
"What an idiot," Yarden replied, rolling his eyes, "Why would Scotland harm its favourite son?"
Kokabiel just gaped at him.
"B-boss-man, I think dis kid is loco poco!" Freed stuttered, huffing a large red sword of his own to his chest, one of the Excalibur fragments, "That aint no God given super power either, it's just a Sacred Gear! Smite his pansy ass for taking big daddy G's name in vain!"
Yarden snapped his gaze to Freed and glared, "Who said you could talk twinky?" he bared his teeth at the white haired youth, waving his sword towards him, "Open that shithole you call a mouth again, and I'll show you a little of how little Timmy really feels when I give you a taste of a real Holy Sword up that faggot ass of yours."
"Eeep!" Freed yelped, and then literally took off running, "Yamete Big Dick-sama!"
…God that fuck head annoyed him. If he didn't want him around for his plans in the next few days when Kokabiel attacked the school, he'd fucking strangle him with his own intestines.
When he turned back to look back up at Kokabiel, the Cadre had regained his composure, "…So just talking big then? I suppose with that Holy Sword, the strength I sense from you and without the ability to use my light, you could stall me for a decent while," the fallen mused, before smirking confidently down at Yarden, "I suppose you already have reinforcements coming soon then."
"God, you're delusional." he rolled his eyes. If he didn't want Kokabiel alive for the 'big reveal', he'd just go Balance Breaker right now and kill him.
"Not as delusional as you," Kokabiel chuckled, "I mean, come now, using God's name as if he actually has any meaning in this day and age, he's a relic of a bygone age."
'Oh?' Yarden's eyebrows raised up in interest. He was practically already doing what he wanted.
It was too bad Xenovia wasn't around as well, but one out of two wasn't bad either.
"…How…how dare you say that about our Lord!" he heard Irina shout from behind him, and he looked over his shoulder to see her having struggled into a sitting up position, hands pressed against the ground and trembling as they kept her up, her large, round and perky breasts completely exposed, but not caring a lick as she glared bloody murder up at Kokabiel, "A traitorous heathen like you who abandoned Gods teachings has no rich to speak ill of him!"
In response, Kokabiel merely laughed, "Silly little human, you have never even met God, you truly know nothing, besides, as his son I have all the right!" he spread his arms out widely, laughing uncontrollably and seeming to have a grand old time, "And even then, I wasn't mocking dear father, I was merely speaking the truth, he is long gone now after all!"
"…What…" Irina muttered, dazed, "What do you mean, that's impossible! We can still hear him when we pray to him! We still have his blessings!"
"All Michael I'm afraid little girl, he's running the system in heaven now," Kokabiel refuted her words and taking great pleasure in the way her eyes widened in horror, "Yes, yes, do you see? Let me explain it for you and paint a clearer picture. Back during the great war, God was weakened! It was not merely the former Satan's that fell in that great battle, but even God himself perished like trash!"
Irina's eyes flew wide open, "No…no, it's impossible, GOD CAN'T DIE!!" she started quietly, but as she spoke her denials, tears of horror filled her eyes and she broke into hysterics as the truth really wormed in to her.
Kokabiel after all, had no reason to lie about this.
"Ah, but he can!" the elven eared fugly Angel laughed in derision, "Why do you think foolish endeavours like the Holy Sword Project was allowed in the first place? Because there is no more God to bestow that holy light power!"
Irina broke into sobs as her way of life and the being she had been raised to worship since the basically day she was born, was laid low before.
Ugh, Yarden grimaced as he eyed the girl. He knew the reaction would be bad, the ones of Xenovia and Asia were terrible in canon, but now that he was seeing this in person and actually planned to make her go through this.
…He felt like a complete piece of shit.
That was why;
"Oi," Yarden spoke up, cutting Kokabiel off as he made to speak again, power rising up within him as he prepared to unleash his Balance Breaker, "That's enough, you've rubbed it in, now shut your mouth or I'll make you wish for death after I cut you a new arsehole." he pointed Grian at the angel, the blade igniting with a blazing gold flame that illuminated the area.
"Hmph," Kokabiel scoffed, apparently he really did think this was all Yarden could do and was only here to stall him, "Big words boy, but you are right, I'm a tad premature, it's just so hard to contain my excitement you see! But, I'll take my leave for now, the girl is useless to us now anyway now that we have Excalibur Rapidly." and saying nothing else, he turned, ten black wings flapping powerful and rapidly ascending through the sky, his barrier disappearing as he did so and disappeared out of sight.
All that was left in the area being Yarden, and the half nude, beaten up girl sobbing into the ground a few feet away from him.
Sighing, Yarden let Delete Field fade away and turned to Irina. He made his way over to the sobbing girl and placed his hand gently on her head, rubbing it in soothing circles, "It's alright Irina," he said softly, gently, unlike his usual brutish way, "Everything will be fine."
"I-it won't, how can it, God is dead!" she sobbed, "How am I supposed to take that? What am I supposed to think about all this, how the church has lied to me and my family all my life! Everything I've worked all my life for, for nothing!"
Well, he could definitely understand the betrayal she must be feeling, along with the massive shock and horror for a fervent believer like her.
Like, how would he feel if Scotland just suddenly stopped existing one day?
Lifting Grian in his free hand, he manifested its sheath around it and hung it over his back, then with his hand free now, he reached down and wrapped his arms under her knees, and his other around her back and gently lifted her up.
"Don't think for now, just rest," Yarden told her gently, "I'll take care of you for now and get you all fixed up, you just need to focus on getting better." it was all he really could think to say right now.
In response, despite their stations as exorcist and reincarnated devil, Irina buried her face in his chest and began to sob softly, crying her heart out.
Her huge, bodacious and very naked breasts pressed into his chest and he had a primo view of them as he gently took into the air with a flap of his wings, yet, he could not enjoy such an enviable position at all.
It was his plan all along to get her to hear the truth about God from Kokabiel so he could swoop in and comfort her.
…But, all he felt right now was horrible. He'd forgotten one simple truth in all this since Yarden and Caelan became one.
These were not just characters on a screen, not just sexy waifu's for him to collect any way he could. And now through his utter jackassery, he had a usually very nice and bubbly girl, in his arms and utterly heartbroken, the meaning of her life ripped away from her.
…How utterly un-Scottish of him. Scotland would be so disappointed in him.
