it's 26 years after himmel's death. frieren met fern 20 years after his death, so it's been 6 years since (about one year since heiter's death) a fun fact about this anime is that "that's what himmel the hero would have done" became a very popular phrase. in fact, a young man in taiwan stopped a knife attack and when he was asked for the reason (behind his bravery) he said that himmel would have done the same

2025-06-20 02:57:56 +0000 UTCIt hurts so good getting Himmel flashbacks, and as you pointed out, seeing the love he had for frieren. I can only imagine the look he’d give her if he knew she spent 6 months searching for his favorite flower to put around his statue 😭. One thing I’ll point out is that most of the time skips are in relation to how long it’s been since Himmel died. So when you saw the 27 years or whatever after his death, it hadn’t been that long since heiter had died (hence why fern is still kinda baby sized lol).
