Ok this is a tiny update. The last part was only a week ago, but the whole point of this Patreon is you’re getting way more progress and detail shares with large works. These are two British interwar lanterns. They would not have a reliable supply of batteries (except for one big backup for the radio). I’m assuming there may still be one overhead utility light powered by a water wheel or wind turbine.

All that’s left is a clothesline and maybe a homebrew RDF loop. The research into 1930s underwear for the clothesline was not inspiring: things that go half way to the armpits and grannie panties. There was a lingerie called “tap pants”. Being accurate is usually more exciting than the toony fiction, but maybe that’s part of that Minnie Mouse humor.. big ungainly polkadot things blowing on the wind.

I’m definitely doing a dusk version of this piece. I realize it also needs a big beetle. The more chaotic the better - like Merlin’s keep in sword and the stone.
