Club PA Newsletter #108

As I'm sure I related many times, not least of which at the Club PA Super Secret Squirrel meeting, but there was a profound amount to just… feel, at the first of our 20th Anniversary Shows.  Mork and I have collaborated on a strip that has one of his favorite joke-forms and I try not to withhold that pleasure from him.

It's not quite a situation where I've been doing PAX longer than I haven't, but damn.  I've certainly been doing it a long time.  As the weirdo blend of introverted extrovert, cons in general are a complicated environment for me.  I require both things to actually be okay, but they can get out of whack in a place where the Being With Or In Front Of People part is rigorously scheduled.  It used to be much harder, and now it's just… PAX.  I had to develop a bunch of new skills.  I didn't really have those skills in the San Diego Comic-Con era - I would just sit in the chair and vibrate, unless I was eating a sandwich literally under the table.

But, yeah.  Thanks for putting up with it while I learned those skills.  Mike is more of an introvert introvert, like…  introvert x2.  He's like if introversion had a sequel with a much larger budget.  My role generally is just to bring him little shiny things; he doesn't necessarily need to approve of it, it's just the dynamic.  I'm essentially his trained crow.

Alright!  Back to the word mines.  Now that the Omin/Jim novel is in a place I like, I'd say it's gonna come out soon, I can get down to writing this gay romance novel.  I can reveal the title:

Dranmagic! The Incredibly Gay Version Of The Acquisitions Incorporated Book That Might Actually Be The Real One

Perpetually Mining Words,

I thought I was an introvert for a long time, but at some point in my 30s I think I figured out I'm an extrovert with social anxiety! So that's fun.

I know it's still 'correct' but seeing 'windigo' instead of 'wendigo' unnerves me. Maybe it's my North East US upbringing, like when weird people call soda 'pop'.
