What's gonna happen this month!

I saw the polls! Here's what's going to be on focus this month! There's going to be a lot, so the actual work being done may span more than a month already!

Secret route's chapter 2

So this is a no-brainer ;)  But yes, I believe I can have this out within this month!

Omake scenario #4

After seeing the polls, it seems Rika is the winner this round, leading by a healthy margin! Secretly I  was hoping for Sango but oh well lol! We'll be doing a short one-off omake scenario for Rika, and I think this'll make it to v1.0.2 as well. 

Sprite Artworks

Behind the scenes, I'm still doing Hanako and Rika's new sprite artwork. I'm hoping to use the new Rika sprite in the Omake scenario. Sprite artworks for the game are quite some work to do, so when I get into this, this drains a lot from me. After this is done, there are 3 more characters to go: Lina, Min-Seo, and Mana-chan. Once I've done prepping up Hanako and Rika's static sprites, it's time for me to ensure some things in the backend are consistent across the characters - which is why they weren't prepped for animation yet, but to get them in the game, I'll have to start doing that, and I'll start with Rika.

Runicca v0.0.2 EP2:

Sprite Artworks -  Monster/Non-human Girls

So the polls say.... Fairy is no. 1! Lamia is no. 2! and Forest cat girl is no. 3! Since we got 3 contenders close to each other, we'll take the 3 of them for the next coming updates! In particular, for the forest cat girl, I'm thinking of giving her that innocent Aerith kind of vibe. For the other two, my mind's still swirling about with ideas. So for this, I'll get on to the test sprite arts after Ramen no Oujisama v0.0.2, or maybe do some early line tests for now, but the finished artworks and animations must come after I've taken care of RnO v.0.0.2.

Special Scenes  -  Monster/Non-human Girls 

These will come in after I've dealt with the sprite artworks. There are a number of them planned in!

Viktor's relationship with Lotte

I think I'll have to change this one in EP01. I don't want problems to the story later on simply because of how they refer to each other affectionately. (Although I think this be quite common in some cultures, but let's just be safe than sorry!) In EP02, there will be a special scene between them.

Main Story  -  EP02

I hear y'all, and considering how quite a good number of you want to see what happens next, we'll advance with Runicca, progress a little further on our vision with what the game's supposed to be, and let's see what happens next! Runicca's Episode 2's story is laid out but not written yet. Considering in this game, the main focus is more on the side stories that happen between episodes, we decided it may be best to change some of the key parts of the story this early on. Among these major changes is how the elven protagonist has been affected by drinking the Wine - I won't mention it now since spoilers, and how we're solidifying some ideas on how it's affected Viktor (unknowingly to him). This is due to how the side stories will be affected by this and the fact that Viktor needs to remain an eligible bachelor at this early stage.

Will there be relationships in the game? Later on, we'll see where that takes us, for now we need to keep things open and prepare for that kind of scenario. Can you have a relationship with the monster/non-human girls? Same situation as the ones in your party - we're preparing some aspects to keep it open, but since we're still in the early stages of the game and plot, I can't say for now ;) ;)

In its state, Runicca is more like a preview than our usual game given there are no choices available yet. So we'll work on this a little more to realize the vision for this game.

Viktor's relationship with the elven girl

As I've mentioned before, the relationship between the two must remain open at this point. There will be special scenes between them despite not being a couple, but that's because the Elven girl has something to do with Viktor's hidden power (of one part, he's unaware of.) And she needs him for something.

Side Stories  -  Episode 2

I've prepared some scenarios for the side stories already which I think you'll like ;) They will come after EP02 because essentially, EP01 is the game's intro that has a direct immediate connection with EP02. The 3 side stories: EP02a, b, and c, will be about the poll's winners mentioned above! This does excludes Lotte. Some will have 1 and some will have 2 Special Scenes. Choices will appear in EP02 and the side stories. These choices - some of them will impact what happens immediately, and some will affect the game later on.

 So as you can see, I'm quite busy these next few months. You might be wondering how I'm still alive! That's because of your continued patronage! I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for you guys, and so long as you like what I've we've got, we'll do our best at keeping you entertained.
