but! I made this little tile tutorial to help my friend so maybe it'll be useful to u guys! sorry if I worded it in a confusing way too daskjdahk I hope it makes sense
In the example I just used basic black and white to highlight and shade the tiles/grout but for the actual VN bgs I adjusted the colours and layer styles to suit the lighting of the environment! And in the example I used lighting from above so I shifted the shadows up and down based on where the light would hit and shadows would cast but if you do it then you can shift them in any direction to suit your lightsource direction! Also you can use all kinds of grid shapes to create different shaped tiles!!!!!!!!!!!!!
