A fantastic finale to end a great season, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. You're right that Missy is brilliant. The actress is called Michelle Gomez and her fantastic acting along with Peter and Jenna's fantastic acting as The Doctor and Clara just makes this whole finale. I've always loved scenes between The Doctor and The Master due to their history and the fact that they deeply care for each other and hate each other at the same time lol. As for the titles, I was worried you'd miss what they'd changed because you haven't really been watching them this season. But Peter and Jenna's names had changed order, Jenna's was first in this episode when usually Peter's is first, and it was Jenna's eyes instead of Peter's. The titles being changed were supposed to make the audience believe for a minute that maybe Clara actually is The Doctor. Jenna, yet again just like in the episode Flatline, played The Doctor SO well that it was believable. The entire fandom freaked out about that moment and we all wish they'd kept up the ruse for a bit longer. Although you didn't seem to believe her at all so maybe it wouldn't have made much difference to you. As for Danny. He was always created to be a plot device. He stumbled into Clara's life and became a point of conflict between The Doctor and Clara. And, like we found out in this episode, Missy put The Doctor and Clara together for a reason (more to come with that) so Danny had to go. Hence Missy running him over in a car. Danny was always just a pawn in Missy's game and I'm not mad about it since I never liked him lol. And I'm SO glad you loved the line about a hug being a way to hide your face. That's a big fan favourite quote, it's so true but not something you think about until you hear it. 👌 Bring on the Christmas special. It's my favourite of all of them so hopefully you'll like it. 😊

2024-12-16 04:42:52 +0000 UTCI see you had the same thoughts I did about Danny that I left in the 8x11 reaction lol. This episode did make me feel better about Danny, but I will always wish that they did more with his character. Missy just doesn't do it for me lol

He believes Danny is back so he's lying about his home being back so Clara will stay with Danny and she decides to lie about Danny because she wants the doctor to go home and be with his people and not worry about her! It's really sweet that they care so much about each other that they're willing to give each other up so that the other can be happy
