Part of me is very sad we'll never get a season 2, part of me is ok with this being a One Season Wonder - this series really queer-coded each of the main Phantoms (obviously Alex was openly out, but Reggie had a LOT of bi-coding (probably the most obvious moment of bi-panic i've ever seen in a tv show when Luke proves he has chemistry with Reggie+ really admiring Julie's dad as a mix of attraction + displaced parent issues) & there's definitely people who have interpreted Luke's like of "i have chemistry with anyone" as potentially being poly). And i think later seasons would've either "disproven" those fan-interpretations or strung people along, so by ending here, no matter one's interpretation of the characters, one can maintain their own headcanon of what the character's are. That said.... i would've loved more. For those wanting more Reggie - Jeremy Shada has released his own music since on Spotify and he's the voice of Finn the Human in Adventure Time.

I lost so many people and pets in my life and wish I could see them again. ๐๐ฅบ๐ญ This show brings me so much joy. I'm so upset with Netflix for canceling our comfort show! ๐ก This show deserves more seasons Maybe another platform will pick it up that we all want it back. I still to this day love listening to there playlist on my spotify. ๐ค๐ Such talented people in this show! ๐

I love watching people fall in love with this show & am still completely devastated about itโs cancellation. This is my comfort show & I still watch/listen to the music all the time. Please do the โbehind the bandโ episodes-they are 100% worth the watch!

2023-02-06 18:14:06 +0000 UTCI am so sad to see this one end. I too have many theories and ways to explain the loose ends left in this one. Netflix made such a huge mistake in letting this one go. The least they can do is let someone else pick it up...then I'll just shake their hand instead of punching them in the face. I definitely do think that Julie's mom was the girl in the first episode that they gave the t-shirt to and I am willing to bet that she and Bobby dated, but that they eventually broke up because of guilt and maybe Julie's mom was trying to make it right for Luke, Reggie, and Alex since Bobby didn't give them credit for the songs they wrote that he released and made his fortune on. They never actually said what Julie's mom did for a living and they didn't explain how Julie's family ended up in the garage where they used to play and why all their stuff was still there after 25 years. My guess is that Julie's mom may have been related to Reggie or Alex or at the very least was good friends with them because she kept their stuff all those years and their connection to Julie was so strong. Thank you for reacting to this whole series Travis! This series definitely deserves all the love it can get

Julie and Carrie used to be best friends so Bobby and Julie's mum would have know each other as adults. Also the band used to rehearse in the garage so was that Bobby's house that Julie's family is living in? I have so many unanswered questions!! LOL

It makes no sense why Netflix cancelled it, the show and actors won multiple awards and it had a large fan base. Petitions were made online about it. Iโm really holding out hope that Disney somehow manages to get ahold of it.
