Empress Gilbraith begins reciting the rituals as Sharpe follows along. Just as Duke Danton is about to become the next Warden, Rawn interrupts saying she invokes an old and almost forgotten law that demands a halt to the ceremony as a Parliament traitor is in their midst.
Everyone doesn't realize this yet, but invoking that law is triggering events that will soon spiral out of control.
