Tyran's venting his frustrations over how foolish they are, but Fiola fiercely defends their actions. Fiola hasn't had a chance to shine yet in this story, but that's going to change now. She argues Tyran's scheme to unite them with Sansregret and Coven is a failure, so they're taking the initiative to clear Rawn's name instead. Things get heated and when Tyran's pushed too far he blurts out he's distracted due to learning his mother just died.
The reaction to this news is not quite what Tyran expected.
