Development Update #17 - Steam Release Soon!

Hi everyone! This will be part development update, part Steam shill, and part Steam logistics update. I'll start with the development update first.

Development Update

Progress on Chapter 9 is actually going a bit faster than expected, which is great news! I expect to have the first alpha out this weekend, and the next alpha might be out even sooner than the following weekend. You can expect a lot of main plot progression and drama in this chapter, as well as two spicy scenes featuring Maria. I've already got over 500 frames of animations baking for just one of those scenes, and I'm really happy with how it's turning out. I'm aiming for a mid-February release, but I'll let you all know for sure once I get closer.

The Steam release for Price of Power is on Friday, Jan. 21st, which is less than two weeks away! I'm really excited to get it released - it's been a lot more work than I initially expected, but I'm sure it'll pay off. Please remember to add the game to your wishlist (link) - each time someone adds the game to their wishlist, Steam gives me a bit of free advertising/publicity on the store, and it really adds up over time! Every wishlist helps, so if you can take just a minute to add Price of Power to your wishlist, I'd very much appreciate it.

The Steam version of Price of Power will be the exact same as the Patreon version and released at the same time - the only difference is that the Steam version will have Steam achievement support. Just to reiterate - there will be no difference in content or release dates whatsoever, just the achievements. I've actually just finished adding in the first batch of achievements (woohoo!), so all that's left to get the Steam release going is playtesting to make sure achievements activate correctly. Once that's done, we'll be ready to roll!

All patrons with an active subscription as of this month with a lifetime contribution of at least 15 USD will receive a free Steam key. I'll go through every month to update the list and send new keys out once people qualify. I see this as a sort of pay-as-you-go plan for people in lower tiers - five months at the $3/mo tier will get you access, as would 3 months at the $5/tier. Of course, feel free to join the $30/tier for customs if you can, but no pressure. ;)

If you haven't received your Steam key by Wednesday, Jan. 19th and believe you should have gotten one, please message me on Patreon so that I can look everything up and send you one if I've forgotten. I'm only one human, after all, so it's totally possible I may miss one or two of you, but I'll do my best.
