Juno was the first guest we invited to our home when it was brand new to us, and the first real shoot I had here. You'd think Nicole and I would have reserved that sort of thing for each other in a romantic gesture, but moving is stressful, and we are not great with doing the thing that makes the better story all the time.
But honestly that first with Juno was something special all of its own, and after she left I felt like she was somebody I was going to hopefully work with often. So when summer came we invited her back for a second visit, and this just reaffirmed what an incredible presence she is both in front of the camera, and just in general. You can see such a beautiful and drastic transformation from that first shoot to this one in the way the light comes across the land, and in the colors that abound. Working with Juno both times just felt effortless. We walk around outside, find the right light, and the images just sort of make themselves.
