Spring flowers are like fire works. Booms of color appear and disappear almost as quickly and I am left running around the yard hoping that one of these explosions happens on the day of a shoot, and that the light is kind to me.
Penny happened to be one of the shoots lucky enough to align with my favorite flowering tree our Camellia. The I can't imagine a more perfect flowering tree for photographs as the flowers bloom and then litter the ground still holding their intense color. I wish they stayed just a little longer, but the fleeting nature of these moments is what makes spring and summer just so exciting.
As something new appears another plant is gone for a year.
