Portland is already feeling like it was the right choice. I know every place you live or visit will have its honeymoon phase, which Nicole and I are clearly in here on this next part of our journey, but the amount of incredible shoots I have had, the amount of growth and potential for growth I am seeing in my work has been amazing.
There are so many incredible people to collaborate with, and we have so much space to utilize. Each day I hike out to the woods, or work on little things for all that is to come. We have so much to do, and inbetween there a photos to take...photos to edit.
Ivy came down on a rainy day when the creek was high, and the temperature was low, so we couldn't cross over to the forest, or stand outside for too long, but even just the field of wheat, and forest in the background made for incredible photos. The light and range of colors to work with is captivating as is Ivy's effortless posing.
Is this really our home? I wonder it daily. We've been moving through this country and world for so long home often seems a distant ideas. What I have from each place are the photos.
