Ending Temperance was somewhat freeing, but I feel like since I finished it I have sort of been adrift. The creative process for me is test out a million different things until something sticks. The journey from one series to another can be a long one, and lack of certainty when it comes to continued access to a place makes it all the more difficult to commit.
But I think that has let me approach my work a little differently since arriving on the West Coast. I have done so many little one off shoots. From our Seattle Creative retreat to Japan, France, and Lillias' new place I have been able to experiment with a whole bunch of aesthetics I might not have otherwise played with, and now that I'm getting ready to begin a new series I feel as though I have a lot of idea's I'm ready to integrate into my next project.
The bright whites, and greens of Lillias' new home were such a joy to work with and capture. I love soft and bright tones, and the way they just bounce around a room. Its like working on a nice piece of seamless white, but infinitely more interesting. Plus all the joy Lillias experienced shooting in a place that she put together it made for just the perfect little shoot.
