In just a few months we will be leaving our first PNW home and moving down to a place I feel like will give me and Nicole a lot more freedom to create and explore. I think I never fell in love with Pulp because it felt like I was investing into a series that could very easily be taken away from me.
Renting in Seattle we found the perfect place for us, but in our two years here every home like ours has been sold, torn down, and replaced by a suburban mansion. It has felt like its only a matter of time until it happens to us, so as much as I loved our place it never felt like somewhere that a series could grow.
Still I love the work I created here. Working with Kelsey is always such a dream. She makes photography feel effortless indoors, and hiking around in nature with her and her incredible understanding of plants is such a joy. Its been over a year I think since we did this shoot for Pulp, and we just wrapped up a shoot on wet plate after her most recent visit that I also can't wait to share.
