In order to prepare for our Arctic Nude workshop this year Nicole and I decided to spend a couple of weeks in Europe before hand to adjust, create, and explore a continent we have largely neglected. We began our trip in Spain, and had some really incredible shoots.
I did not really know what to expect for our visit to Barcelona, but when Riae said that she would fly in to shoot, while I was in town I knew that no matter what we were going to do something magical. I spent a day on public transit, and hiking through this small forest outside of town before our shoot to make sure that it would work for us, and what I found was perfect. Small trails, few people, dense trees...it reminded me of my forest back in Philadelphia. It is the kind of the place you can create forever, beautifully simple images form themselves among the leaves and light.
The kind of place that despite being thousands of miles away can feel like home immediately. So we spent the afternoon under the warm Catalonian sun creating images I will cherish.
