I have a forever love/hate relationship with the city of Los Angeles. I have never been a sunny days warm weather person. I want forever fall. I want forever spring. I live as close to this as I can.
Still there are places you can escape the heat, and it is there I took Janice for our second shoot. Low tide in Malibu can be magical. Deep into small caves she climbed into the soft light, and we created until the waves touched our feet, threatened to carry us away.
There aren't many shoots that end with both model and photographer quickly climbing sea cliffs as the only means of escape, but this was one of them. I don't advise it. Turning your back on the sea is never the best of ideas...even if when you begin shooting the sea is far away.
Still I love what we created, so I wouldn't trade the few moments I sat precariously cliff side cursing my fear of heights for any other location.
