I try to do one of these public updates at the beginning of each month, but its been a whirlwind of two weeks for Nicole and I. When we first moved out to Seattle we thought that we would be bi-coastal. I was born in Virginia, lived in Pennsylvania for 27 years, Chicago for 6 months...I loved Philly, so of course I'd be coming back frequently...wrong.
Turns out being bi-coastal means flying back east a lot, and flying is really not my thing. I do it, but it is with great reluctance, and with so many beautiful places less than a days drive away from us in Seattle the east coast has not really been calling me. So with all of that in mind we decided to get rid of our exit plan, clear all of our things out of our place in Philadelphia, and make Seattle our only home base.
I'm a person prone to nostalgia...probably part of the reason I ended up in Photography to begin with, so I thought going back would be hard, getting rid of my things would be hard, and moving would be hard, but the time away from Philly put things in perspective, and I realized most of what I had I didn't need, and I have all of this art we created out there as memories that conveniently fit on small easily stored hard drives. If we desire we can decorate our new life with the remnants of the old.
So now I'm back in Seattle free from the worry and burden of carrying for a place and things thousands of miles away, and I couldn't be more excited. Nicole, Amber, and I have so many plans for art we want to create, adventures we want to organize both here and abroad.
Fun things to know! Due to overwhelming demand we decided to do an Arctic Nude III workshop in Iceland. We are also doing a very limited Olympic National Park workshop (only 4 photographers)

The last couple updates I scheduled before I went back east, but we will be back to our regularly un-scheduled programing now! I've got a lot of work to share and finish for you all this month.
