I've arrived safely in Seattle. I'm staying with my friends Henry Vance and Porcelain until Nicole and I manage to find our own place. It was a long and all around pretty miserable drive. There really isn't much worse than having to tear ass across the country and not stop. I like to take my time, see my friends, and enjoy the mountains, but not this time.
But now that I'm in the north west what better time to finish up the photos from my shoot with the amazing Fabiana while I was in Portland last trip.Fabiana and I hiked out to the amazing Wahclella Falls and dodged other hikers on an uncharacteristically hot day, but despite the many people making there way around we still took some amazing photos! The North West is and will always be one of my favorite places to take photos. The light is perfect, the landscape is intense, and the pine forests invigorate me.
I shot these primarily with my 17-40mm, but also played around a little with my 50mm for some shallow DOF when I found an interesting tree that let me put the waterfall in the background.
