Faye Daniels for Temperance

There are so many people I have dreamt of working with that I haven't had the opportunity, and may never. Faye (https://www.patreon.com/fayedaniels) has been one of those that I have admired from afar for a very long long time. She's one of the first people I saw utilizing Patreon, and just an all around amazing creative.

So when I posted a couple of months ago that I was going to be finishing up Temperance as a series this year, and she reached out to me about making a trip to Philadelphia I was elated. Then the day before she was set to arrive everything went wrong.

I get sick a lot. It is just part of traveling. You hop on a plane you catch a cold or the flu. You eat something in rural america that they have had in the fridge for months longer than you spent the night throwing up on the side of the road. Its rough. Last year I had food poisoning 3 or 4 times, colds, flues, E Coli, and none of them compared to what hit me.

So even though Faye was staying with us the day we had originally planned to shoot I don't even know if I made it out of bed. I think I was down stairs for a couple of minutes to greet people, but mostly I felt like the old man in the house that locks himself away. Which sucked.

Fortunately a two days later I managed to crawl out of bed, eat some apple sauce, and take a shower. I still was a far far way from being 100%, but I managed to keep it together for an hour, and create these photos. Normally I shoot for about twice that time, so the fact that we got as many good images as we did is really a testament to Faye's talent in front of the camera.

Despite the fact that I was barely functioning it was still a really great shoot. I can't wait to make my up to Canada and get a second shot at creating with Faye when I'm completely healthy.

These were all shot with my trusty Sigma 85mm F1.4 Lens.
