First I'd like to start December off with a gigantic Thank You! When I started Patreon I really had no clue that it would start to give me the creative freedom I needed to really explore my work. In 2015 I managed to fit in almost 150 shoots...that is more than two a week. In 2014 I probably only managed about 60. This is entirely in thanks to you alleviating the stress and worry of trying to figure out where rent, gas money, and gear repair were going to come from. So thank you, thank you, thank you so much.

And back to our regularly scheduled program

Some shoots the goal is to create just one photo. I've always loved that. Not everything needs to be 500 photographs with a goal of creating a set of 50. That is rarely my goal when working on personal projects.

While shooting Lauren for Into The Wild in the Pine Barrens Audrey tagged around and played look out for us. In exchange she wanted just one photo covered in this thin fabric. Something haunting. As soon as she draped it over herself I knew we were going to create something really special. The sheer fabric created this amazing texture, and the way the light played off of it it looked like it could be so many things.

As I took it into post and began playing around it was amazing what just a little change of saturation and white balance did to the images. She could look like stone, like a statue, beautiful, sad, scary, so many things. So while our goal was one photo I've included a full gallery of about 7 different takes on the shot.

These were all done around sunset with my 85mm F1.4
