I've been shooting so much for Temperance lately that I've been finding it difficult to keep everything here up to date! Things change so quickly for the series that I have periods of intense creativity. One little new thing to play with gives me so much to work with. I brought the wooden mirror up from the living room earlier this year, and have been trying it out all over the room for different perspectives. On the bed, on the wall, on the floor, its amazing what you can do in such a small space by constantly doing little adjustments.

I sometimes feel like a mad scientist on these shoots constantly tweaking the dresser or the angle of the mirror climbing on furniture on chairs, and bending my body til I can capture an image in a reflection, while not capturing myself. The series is like a jigsaw puzzle I'm still trying to solve. Who knows when I'll be able to fit that final piece in. Some days I feel like its nearly finished others like I just found the corners.

I'm so thankful I've had such amazing people to collaborate with on Temperance. Subjects who are able to transform every shoot into something new and exciting. Tell their own stories. Dance in the reflection slow enough for me to capture.
