PODCAST 23 (audio): An interview with ketamine pioneer Dr. Edward Domino
Added 2021-07-03 04:03:18 +0000 UTCI received some complaints about the vimeo player in the last podcast so I'm releasing an added audio only version that will play like the other podcasts for anyone that prefers it. This was a zoom call so the audio is not going to be great.
Later this month I will release an interview that will contain the first ever published true history of the penis envy variety of Psilocybe cubensis, many misconceptions abound (I'm responsible for some of them) this will be the official account.

2022-02-03 06:23:51 +0000 UTCI was listening to this while I was falling asleep. When I heard him say he hurt one of the participants by squeezing his scrotum without his consent, it literally made sick to my stomach and had to stop listening. He should not be allowed to call himself a doctor; what a disgusting breach of any sort of ethics

2021-10-01 05:32:02 +0000 UTCThere is actually a doctor that does over the phone consults and a legit script is mailed to your home from a compounding pharmacy in San Antonio. I'll happily give you the name but I'm unsure if I can post that here. He is a legit MD with a very successful practice.
2021-08-24 14:15:27 +0000 UTCMy mother who has been dealing with depression and bi polar disorder and been heavily medicated her whole life is now looking into doing therapy assisted ketamine treatment, we are just having a hard time finding places where we can get help and info on this. I myself am also looking for a therapist who is knowledgeable with psychadleics who can help me with my depression and anxiety. We’ve been looking in the philadelphia/south jersey area. Any help would be much appreciated🙏

2021-08-17 23:37:37 +0000 UTCLOL “ I am now leaving “ dr. Domino is a gem and I love him unconditionally. Makes me want to get in touch with Hashimoto and his lab, get them talking with my ketamine clinic here in Kansas. Hey Hamilton if you happen to see this, I’ve been working with colleagues in the psychedelic-assisted therapy space. Would love to chat sometime about what you are hoping to work on yourself, heard rumors you’re wanting to get in the lab. I think work on addiction and remedies for that, like ketamine, massively important. iancook14@gmail.com or https://linktr.ee/alvadean has my calendly at the bottom. Also who is the nick in this? Digging around regardless but wondered if anyone had a quick answer.

2021-08-08 18:40:27 +0000 UTCOn session 2/6 of IV ketamine treatments. Massive benefits for depression and BP1 symptoms I’ve had for 15 years. Dampens the sad and leaves the happy self
2021-08-08 17:59:59 +0000 UTCthis is brilliant. how you manage to get this kind of content is amazing. the story about park-davis blacklisting cal stevens is wild. most striking though is the situation regarding the R-enantiomer ketamine - that he somehow has independently come to the same hypothesis that was confirmed in this paper (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4922311/) out of todd gould lab (first author panos zanos is a true badass, he called out all the huge ketamine players here) in nature in 2016. at the time it went against everything that was accepted as far as the mechanism for ketamine's anti-depressant effects (basically that a metabolite of R was producing them, via an NMDA independent pathway). the science in that paper is superb and certainly the most important work involving ketamine at the time. seems like Domino missed it, which actually reveals quite an impressive individual who would be able to make the same conclusions, despite the fact that all the literature up until 2016 did not support anything of the like. Honestly, i'd much rather live in his reality where this paper never happened, and thus the opportunity still exists to blow the lid of ketamine research with R-isomer as the answer - HOWEVER to succeed you have to travel to Japan and name drop Dr. Domino until you find Hashimoto's lab which serves as the only source of R-ket available. You'll know you're at the right place when you're greeted by 6 Chinese graduate students.

2021-07-15 19:49:21 +0000 UTCHamilton, I've been very interested in drug use in the animal kingdom, it would be cool if you could do a podcast on this topic, information on drug use with animals is pretty sparse. Dogs licking cane toads to get high in Australia is so fascinating lol
