Added 2021-08-20 21:33:34 +0000 UTCIt took me a while to decide to draw this piece. I’m still cross with JKR and still adamant that we should refrain from promoting her. But as I was pondering ideas for the new pic, this idea came up to me and I just couldn’t find anything better. So finally, I gave in.
This was supposed to be Ginny getting ready for her wedding by the way. But as I was doing the colors, all I could think was that she reminded me of Emma Watson so, I ended up changing the hair color and named her Hermione instead :P still work!
Hope you guys dig it!
In term of colors, I think this might be my finest work to date. I think I managed a blend of the 2 techniques that really worked here.

I won't do anything that involves giving her money, but I'm not throwing out my books, either. And I'm not sure she'd be super happy about this art, so that's just gravy.

She kept her smile firm, the professional one she had been practicing a lot lately with all the press attention after the battle. Everyone looked happy. Her eyes passed over Harry, walking forward to shake Ron's hand, landing on Ginny with her surprisingly knowing smile and subtle nod. She nodded back at her, then caught a strange movement near the wall. Kreacher, leering at her from behind a pillar. He had promised he would spike Ron's drinks, making sure he wouldn't be up to anything other than deep sleep by the time they retired. And then... As she stepped down from the dais to surround herself with well wishers she felt her dress rub over the burn mark on her buttock and winced a little more than she would have liked. ...Then she would find her place. Then she would finally be satisfied.
