Burnout Chronicles Part 57: I was Plagiarized
Added 2021-11-01 17:57:47 +0000 UTCFor those of you who weren't aware, this weekend gave to ma a new an very terrifying challenge. One of my stories was plagiarized and posted on Amazon. Yes! It was an extreme whirlwind over 24 hours which saw a huge movement on twitter and tumblr, reviews being turned off for the story on amazon, and eventually the story being taken down.
It was stressful to say the least. Also very eye opening. I had been planning on making more stories patreon exclusive, but this sort of cements it to protect myself. Going forward I will only be posting a small amount of my stories publicly, all others will be kept here on patreon or will be part of future collections.

I thought I'd be safe, which was ignorant of me. I didn't think anyone would wanna steal something when it was already free for the taking. But I was wrong! And I gotta learn somehow.
