The Secret Grotto Glitch

This post addresses the missing "Secret Grotto" location, obtained from Uzumaki's storyline.

Summary:

There's a possibility that you can miss this location by playing earlier versions of the game (3.1 and lower), which prevents you from seeing some of Uzumaki's events. This has been fixed for months now, but some players seem to experience it so I'll be addressing it here.

I have checked this issue each time it's been mentioned and it is fixed / functioning properly. By process of elimination, that leaves only a few possible causes:

• Human error. Namely me.  This is unlikely, as I fixed the issue and attempted to patch older save files as well. Key word, "attempted".
• Playing an older, pirated version of the game. [Most likely culprit as they aren't updated frequently.]
• Playing an unpatched older version of the game.  [Also possible.] 

In the case of 2nd or 3rd happening, your save file may simply be corrupted with conflicting data. I'll briefly go over how to unlock that particular area - if you're still having issues you'll need to choose one of the following methods to solve it:

• Send me your save file so that I can take a look at the data there. [#1 Recommended]
• Download the latest version of the game, then start from an earlier save file before you triggered the Uzumaki "Showdown" battle event. [Best choice]
• Delete the corrupted save file and start over. [#2 Recommended]

How To Unlock The Secret Grotto Area:

• Play through Uzumaki's story. If you don't know how to meet her, check out the guide. 
• When you reach the event "Showdown", defeat Uzumaki in sparring. She will tell you the location of the Secret Grotto.
• 
• Visit the Secret Grotto - it's only available at Night  (aka the latest time of the day).
• 

That's it. From then on you'll be able to find Uzumaki here on certain days.

Other things of note:

If the pictures here differ from your in game experience, then it's a sign that you're playing an outdated version of the game that would cause this error.
