Space Journey X - Roadmap Update

Hi,

after reviewing all change requests and registered issues I have updated the roadmap.

Before going into implementing V2.10 I think it makes sense to package and release a whole host of other features not related to the Drengar Conspiracy Storyline.

I therefore added a package as V2.05 to the roadmap (see screenshot), planning to release it into BETA early 02/2025. It is about 70% finished now (see feature list in attachment). I especially wanted the autotrader feature which is 90% complete now to be out asap for feedback. Also added a better organized achievement system (see screenshots)...

As the V2.x family will be save game compatible I think such a 2.05 package makes sense, introducing a few new features be it for new play through or for continuation.

Technical CRQ are mostly done, from today I'll move to the NSFW content for 2.05.

P.S. As V2.00_010b has been leaked to F95 yesterday I have stopped backmerging bugfixes into that version and will probably just publicly release it as is. The fixes planned for 200_010c will be coming with 2.05 now.

In case of space journey x I would stay with the current engine. If I make a smaller game with a new engine I have already ruled out unity. Probably I will use Godot.

I hope you will not choose unity, Gamemaker and Godot will be much better choices for the type of games you have made until now. Plus Unity has a horrendous startup time! Read up on the recent TOS changes, they are not a developer friendly company anymore. If you choose Godot then I will ask you to consider Redot instead, the recent purge might indicate that they have other stuff than clear technical competence as a focus point regarding their employees. If you choose Godot over Redot it will not impact how I support you though, I just want you to consider the alternative :)

yes, I definitely see it in a similar way. There are so many side quests which could be done which I just did not attack in order to have some kind of a good ending to the game and not a never-ending story. What I am now about to decide is whether it's better to just add episodes to the existing world or to do a reboot. I feel that there's enough potential to just keep adding episodes for a while.
