the last two days I was sucked into coding the Beacon of Assembly. Originally I just wanted to make a puzzle (bootstrap the Beacon by providing some materials) out of it but story wise that was weak so i decided to implement an Industrial Replicator Instead.
Finally I have found a use for all the Swarm Materials (the main ingredients for the Replicator)!
The Replicator allows creation of complex Machinery (Torpedos etc.)
You can have it learn new blueprints by analyzing existing machinery
for analysis you need Assembler modules
Assembler Modules can be gained in combat with the Assembler, that lurks nearby in Space
That took forever but now it works! Makes the Beacon more than a puzzle!
With that Game progress is at 97%. Only the ending and the (easy) Beacon of Stars, where you need to provide your fragments remains to do.
BETA 10th might still be OK and VIP and Upper Tier Early access Releases in July too. Official Release might slip to Early August (depending on EA findings)
