In this episode, Emilia was frozen inside ice, then the ice melted [this happened the first few seconds of this episode], and she met Puck for the first time. The OVA tells the story of Emilia waking up from the ice... also there are nice fights and top tier animation and emotion. Few episodes back Emilia explained that she was frozen in ice for a LONG, LONG TIME. The OVA is good because it gives context to all these thigs that it's hard to get, but if you want to skip it it would be cool for you to look up for the plot of the OVA as it would give insights and clear some things up
