Fortnite: Reef Ranger Orin

**UPDATE 11/1/2024: Minor visual improvements: arm and weapon rotation

Again keep forgetting to post this in time, heck this one isn't actually gonna be the next pic I would post after the previous one, but oh well ^^;

Okay so here's what led me to the making of this pic. One of the members in my server announced a contest (sort of) of drawing the character you see above, Prince Orin, from Epic Games' multiplayer online game franchise Fortnite, in various underwater scenes, scuba or non-scuba. I, being mostly done scuba drawings myself (not to mention space ones which I've been doing a lot lately and needed some chain breaker), saw that announcement and got inspired do do the Prince himself in a scuba gear, so I submitted my entry of him wearing the full gear complete with a custom wetsuit, a BCD, and most notably, a full face mask based on the one worn by Fortnite's own Reef Ranger character, just in the color of the scarf on his outfit, as you can see here. and with his signature polearm, he's ready for an underwater combat as ever!

Also, this guy who's in charge of this contest says that the main purpose of the contest really is to give Prince Orin more public exposure, at least as much as that of his twin sister Princess Lexa (which I look forward to do as well at some point). And to help achieve that, not to mention the fact that I already shared the full resolution of this pic on Discord anyway, I decided to make this pic available for free to download! That's right, Free members, rejoice! You can check the attachment below and download it right away! Now let's talk about the process, especially since I didn't made a WIP post for this one (sorry for those on the Popsicle and Parfait tier ^^;). The big chunk of the whole process of making this pic is probably Orin's polearm, his custom wetsuit based on this regular outfit in-game, and the full face mask, especially since I haven't pretty much did one in style of the Interspiro AGA/OTS Guardian/Poseidon FFMs, which is the Reef ranger's mask is based on, so yeah this is my first take on it (didn't help that I do space pics more than scuba ones despite liking both ^^;). We already have the front view of it, looking forward to do each of the 3/4 views!, Otherwise there's nothing much else, I do have to split his hair in two parts pretty much like I did on many of my drawings where the character has bangs, where one layer of small part of his hair is put behind the FFM and the bangs, or in this case just a big chunk of his sideswept hair, on top of the FFM.

Pretty much pleased with the result here, I don't play Fortnite but he's indeed one of the coolest looking character in the game, especially in scuba gear. Who knows if Epic Games will ever make something similar for him in the game XD
