Robot Boyfriend: Luke (complete)

You were working late in the garage; everyone had already gone home, but you were lingering to finish your project. You had been working on this old bike you found, trying to get it in working order. You figured if you could fix it you could sell it, and any extra money was a blessing right now.

You were living in a tiny apartment above the garage where you basically had a kitchen, bedroom, and a bathroom. You were trying to save up to move out and take the workshops at the Hephaestus School. It was there you could really get your career going, anyone who even had a weekend workshop there had better chances at a nicer job.

Harry, your dog, sat  by the open garage door. He lifted his head from the concrete and started to whine.

“Don’t start that now,” you grunted as you picked up the tool box. “You just ate and you can go pee anywhere outside you want.” You sat down with a huff and looked over the motorcycle sitting before you. “So don’t start your whiny bullshit now.”

Harry continued to whine and stood up from the floor. His stub of a tail began to wag and he barked out into the shadows.

You frowned at him, looking away from your work. “Ok, what are you talking about?” You set back to work, wiping off your tools before starting again. You laid parts out on a tarp to clean them before deciding if they need to be replaced.

Harry barked again, loud and hard to ignore. He pranced around on the concrete and whineed before starting to bark again.

“Harry! Please, be quiet. I’m trying to concentrate over here!” You looked up from the bike and see the night sky illuminated. Streaks of purple, pink, and yellow filled the skyline above the trees. You stood up and let out a low gasp of awe.

Harry jumped as he barked again, looking back at you with a sense of urgency.

You stepped outside, watching as the colors streaked and moved. There was a heavy pulse and it knocked you backwards. Harry went skidding across the smooth concrete, barking the entire time. You braced against the wall as a wave of heat washed over you. A loud bang and a pop rang out and you clapped your hands over your ears at the sound. In the forest there was an explosion, smoke and dirt and debris shot up into the sky.

Harry lunged out of the garage, barking and yapping. You grabbed him by his bandana and yanked him into the garage, tugging down the door as fast as you possibly could. Harry rushed the door, clawing at the metal and barking and whining.

“Did you not see what just happened?” You snapped at him. “We were...bombed! Or...or aliens! Something bad happened!”

Harry was still barking and trying to dig his way out. He tried to shove his nose under the door and when that didn’t work he continued to bark and whine.

You yanked Harry back, grabbing hold of him as he wiggled and cried in your arms. “Oh my god, are you the reincarnation of every dumb white girl in a horror movie? There is no way you’re going out there!”

The ground beneath your feet vibrated for a moment. You went to the window, opening it so you could crane your head out to see what’s happening. Harry pushed you, jumping up on the counter and wriggling out the open window and plopping down on the ground.

“Harry!” You yell, but he’s already running off towards the woods.

You rush outside, chasing after him as he goes into the forest. You stop cold, seeing there is green and pink smoke rising from the trees deep inside. You shake your head and tug at your hair before you run in.

“I’m going to turn you into jerky and feed you to the raccoons!” You yell after him. “Harry!” You keep running and dodging trees and low limbs. “Harry!” You had spent your life running through the woods, pretending you were on Endor or were being hunted by the Predator. Your whole life had either been rebuilding cars with your dad or playing in the woods with your sister.

You hear Harry barking ahead and when you see him you don’t hesitate to snatch him up and yank him towards you.

“You’re going to be happy if I don’t change your name to dead meat!” You snarl at him. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” A surge of light blinds you for a moment. You topple backwards with Harry in your arms.

Harry whines and chatters, wriggling his body as if he was excited.

You open your eyes, seeings a display of colored lights and smoke before you. There’s a crater at your feet and a hand rises up and grabs the edge. You kick back, holding Harry off the ground as you try to scoot away on your butt.

A second hands grips the edge and they strain. A second later, a figure emerges, surrounded by the green and pink smoke. Bright lights cut through the shadows and seem to focus down on you.

Harry pants and wiggles more, trying to shake the stump where his tail once was.

You look out from behind his body, staring up at the huge creature now before you. You used to pretend you were being hunted by the Predator out in these woods, and now, you have the sinking feeling you might be for real.

There’s the hiss of radio static and the garbled cluster of voices hidden within it, followed by several high pitched squeals and then a low monotonous tone. The creature collapses, laying near your feet. Harry jumps from your arms and goes to the side of the creature, whining gently and pressing his nose to it.

“Harry!” You stand up. “Get away from it! You don’t know what it is!”

Harry barks at you and whines again, giving you a look so simpering sweet you fall hard for it. You kneel down by the creature and see it is covered in a metallic sort of exoskeleton. It shimmers dark green with hints of duochrome pink. You take your phone from your pocket and shine the flashlight upon it.

“It looks like a robot,” you whisper. You reach out, touching it’s head and brushing away dirt. You see a crack running down the back of its head and some sparks shoot out. “It’s damaged.”

The radio static hisses back on and the Wilhelm Scream suddenly plays. There is whirs and whistles and then you hear Carrie Fisher say “you’re my only hope”.

Harry whines and prances his feet.

“I don’t know, Harry.” You sit back down on the ground again. “I don’t know what to do here.”

The radio statics buzzes and the creature raises its head. It whimpers and whines, two flaps on either side of its head raise up and down. It looks at you then screams. You then scream and Harry barks. The creature falls back down into the crater.

You jump up onto your feet and look over the edge. The creature is huddled in a tight ball at the bottom where there is burning trees and wreckage everywhere.

“I’m not armed or anything!” You shout down to it. “I’m not going to hurt you, so don’t try to hurt me either.”

Harry jumps down into the crater and prances around the creature at the bottom. He sniffs around them and then sits down beside them, prancing his front feet as he waits for pets.

The creature lifts its head and looks at Harry. Slowly, they raise their hand and pet the top of his head. Garbled radio static fills the air and you hear the crackling, popping sound of it saying “Thank you.”

You look down and the creature stares up at you. The bright lights dim down and you see a cracked visor drop down over their headlight like eyes. “Are you ok?” You’re not sure why you’re asking this. You know you should be crapping your pants, but for some reason, ok because of Harry, you aren’t afraid. In fact, you’re more worried than anything.

The creature whines and whistles. The two metallic flaps on the side of it’s head raise up and down before going flat against its head.

“Afraid,” a voice crackles through the static.

You slide down into the crater and the creature catches you, making sure you don’t topple or go to fast. Their big hand covers most of your back and it feels warm. The upper side if covered in that metal like shell but the underbelly is a sort of shimmering mesh that feels like a mix of rubber and tin foil.

“Hi,” you whisper to it. You place your palm on your chest and introduce yourself. “I’m not going to hurt you.”

The creature tilts its head down to its shoulder. They mimic your posture and place their palm against their broad chest. They say a bunch of garbled words but you can’t understand them. You then hear Carrie Fisher again: “you’re my only hope.”

“How about I call you Luke, for now.” You smile at him. “Can you walk?”

Harry barks and jumps up, circling around Luke.

Luke stumbles a bit, toppling backwards and splaying out on the ground. You rush over to his side, taking hold of his massive hand and helping him back up.

“Are you hurt?” You gasp.

Luke grabs the back of his head and looks up at you with a low whine. “Off-” there’s garbled static and whirring, “-balance.”

“Hold my hand,” you coax him. “It’s ok.”

Luke tries to stand again using you for balance. He pushes you down and you feet sink into the soft dirt. He keeps a tight hold of your hand as you and Harry walk him from the crater and out of the forest.

You take him into the garage where you have him sit down. Seeing him in the light you’re able to take in more of his appearance. He looks more robotic than anything, covered in that duochrome plating with that rubber tin foil serving as joints and muscle. His jaw juts out from under the visor looking like some sort of bear trap. He has great big shoulders and a barreled out chest with an itty-bitty concave waist. His hips then jut out just like his shoulders, leading into extremely thick and heavily armored legs.

You take a step ladder and inspect the back of his head. He whimpers when you touch the crack there. As you try to figure out what to do with the wires and flinches away from your touch.

“I’m sorry,” you gasp. “Does it hurt?”

Luke nods and he looks over his shoulder at you.

You place your palm on his shoulder. “It’s ok,” you whisper to him. “I’m more of a mechanic, but my sister is an engineer, she may know better about you than me. I’ll give her a call.”

As you take your phone out and start to dial you hear something already coming from the speaker. You press the phone to your ear and hear a voice.

“Don’t bring anyone else,” the voice quivers. “I’m scared.”

You turn and look back at Luke who is giving you the same simpering puppy face that Harry did before.

“It’s ok,” you whisper to him through the phone. “You don’t need to be afraid.”

“I don’t know you. I don’t know where I am,” Luke replies. “I’m hurt and vulnerable.” He looks you over. “But I could still hurt you.”

You gulp down the knot in your throat and turn to face him. “I promise, I won’t hurt you. I want to help you.” You hold out your hand to him. “You can be scared.”

Luke looks at your hand then back in your face. He reaches out, taking hold of your hand in his. “You’re small.”

“Exactly,” you smile at him. “You’re big. So even if I did try to hurt you, I think you could protect yourself.” You step closer to him. “Tell me what I can do to help you?”

Luke squeezes your hand tight. There’s then a spark at your ear and you nearly drop your phone. You shake your head and feel a slight pain in your temple.

“What was-” you hesitate and look back to Luke. “How’d you do that?”

Luke tilts his head to the side. You glance at your phone, seeing the screen is scrambled and fried. You glare back at him. “Do you know how much this costs?” You scoff and set it aside. “Never mind.”

You go back onto the step ladder and look at the back of Luke’s head where the crack is. Somehow, you know how to fix him now. It takes you all night, but eventually you get Luke patched and most of his pain taken care of.

In the morning you're woken by the sound of something cussing loudly and dropping their tools all over the ground.

You grumble and sit up, realizing you’ve fallen asleep in Luke’s lap. “Calm down,” you grumble.

“What the fuck is that?” Casey, your sister screams. She’s shaking her screwdriver at Luke.

Luke’s visor raises up and his eyes bore brightly at her while she backs up against the wall shouting.

“Both of you!” You snap. “Calm down!” You stand between Luke and Casey. “This is my sister!” You snap at Luke whose visor snaps back down.

“Casey,” you turn to her and grab her arms gently. “This is a giant robot who fell from space.” You smile at her, knowing full well you sound insane.

“You mean that fucking comet last night?” She points out to the woods. “There’s like FBI and all sorts of weird shit out there!” She scoffs. She slicks her hair away from her face. “I even heard rumors that Hepheastus is coming out here. You’re telling me you took this thing from the crash sight and brought it into Dad’s garage?” She looks up at Luke. “Dad would be proud.”

Harry bounces and barks around Luke’s feet.

“He was really hurt. I felt so bad for him,” you huff.

“How many damn birds did you bring home for the same reason?” Casey walks over to Luke and examines his hands and arms. “He’s pretty, I’ll give him that.” She looks up at Luke. “So, where did you come from, big guy?”

His voice is still static and garbled talk like from an out of tune radio.

“Hmm,” casey stands on tip toes and examines his head. “Is he still injured?”

“I fixed what I could,” you explain. “But he says that he’s still hurt in some places and I don’t think we have the tools to properly take care of him.”

“He said?" Casey eyes you. “How?”

You pick up your phone and show her. The screen is still glitched and fizzing but Luke’s voice still comes through.

Casey grimaces as she listens. “He keeps quoting Star Wars.” She glances up at Luke. “You know about Star Wars?”

The speaker on the phone squeaks and pops. “My kind has been observing transmissions from all over for a long time.” Luke speaks loud. “We’ve been keeping tabs on this planet for quite a while. Ever since the Heltith ship crash landed here over twenty years ago.”

“Heltith?” You ask.

“They are a race of symbiotic creatures. They can’t maintain their own shape without a living vessel. They’ll attach themselves to a person, giving them enhanced abilities and skills in return for using their body. The ship that crashed here was carrying four high ranking Heltith officials. Three have been found.”

“Is that why you’re here?” Casey asks. “To take care of these things?”

Luke shakes his head. “I don’t know,” he murmurs low. He touches his head and his lights go dim behind his visor. “I just remember a select few things,” he sighs. “Flashes here and there, sparks of recognition and-” He touches the back of his head where you repaired him. “There is more damage than can be repaired.”

Casey turns her attention to you. “What are we going to do?” She asks.

“He’s hurt,” you insist. “We can’t send him away. Maybe Hephaestus could help him.”

“No,” Luke urges. “No one else!”

Casey sighs and kneels down beside him. “Let me see what I can do. We’ll try and help you, but we are limited in what we can accomplish. Hephaestus has a school like a sanctuary for people like you. You may want to reconsider.”

For the next few days you and your sister keep the garage closed. You work on Luke, trying to find ways to help him and get him better. You keep him company at night, often having your dinner with him. You sit and talk, enjoying your time alone with him.

One evening, you turn on music and Luke’s antenna perk up. They twitch and rise up and down before settling at the sides of his head.

“I’ve heard this song,” he says.

“Have you?” You turn up the record player a bit more. “You know Star Wars so you must know some of our music.”

Luke’s antennas bob again. “I’m not sure. I just know this song.”

You take his hand in both of yours, rubbing the back while you squeeze his palm. “I wish there was more I could do to help you.”

Luke brings your phone closer and holds it to your ear. “You’ve been a great comfort. Thank you.”

You cup your hand around his. “I’m glad I can do it. You don’t need to thank me for anything.”

“I feel like I need to,” Luke replies.

You chuckle and run your hand down his arm. “Well, as long as you’re safe, that’s good enough for me. I just wish there was something more we could do.”

“You don’t need to try and push yourself. What you’ve done is above and beyond.” Luke presses his forehead to yours. “I will always be grateful that I met you.”

You flinch for a moment then place your palm on his face. “Why does that sound like a goodbye?”

“I can’t stay here longer,” he whispers through the phone. “It only puts you in more and more danger. Those people inspecting the crater, they’re looking for me. There’s people working for a man named Solomon who are trying to hunt me down.”

“How do you know this?” You gasp.

Luke taps the  antenna on his head. “I’ve been listening in on things. Using your phone to tap into networks.” He takes hold of your hand and squeezes it. “I don’t want to repay your kindness by getting you in trouble.”

“Let me take you to Hephaestus then!” You urge. “He can help you, he’ll protect you. His school was built for people exactly like you, Luke.”

Luke presses a finger to your lips. “I can’t. I really can’t-” he huffs and sits down. He looks at your phone in his hands and then glances back at you.

You stand before him then place yourself in his lap. You rest your head on his shoulder and his hand rubs up and down your back.

“I don’t want you to go,” you grumble.

Luke presses his fingertip to your chest. “I’ll be right here.” The voice of E.T comes from him.

You chuckle and hold his hand. “So corny.”

Luke brushes your hair from your face and presses his visor there. “Maybe, one day, I’ll see you again.” His voice whispers from the phone.

He then sets you aside and the garage door goes up. He stands there for a long moment before turning around and looking at you. He places your phone back into your hands and he pets the top of your head. He crouches down and takes off, blasting away and leaving a trail of pink smoke behind him. You stand there, watching him disappear into the night sky, and as you close the garage door Harry whines. You sit down, sobbing against your phone.

A few days later as you’re finishing up an oil change a fancy car pulls up to the garage. It’s black with red accents and the hood ornament looks like it’s carved from ruby. A man gets out of the driver seat whose hair is completely white and his eyes are very dark. He’s dressed to the nines in a suit that looks more expensive than the entire building. You recognize him somehow but you can’t quite put your finger on it.

“Can I help you?” You ask him as he approaches.

He looks around the building with a keen glance and for a moment you think you see something move in the whites of his eye. “Just passing through town and I started to hear something rattle around.” He says. “Was wondering if you could take a look at it.”

You look at his car and then back at him. “What sort of rattle?” You walk over to the hood. “Did you smell anything?”

“No,” he replies. He reaches in and pops the hood. “Just a strange noise. I paid a lot for this car and I’m not taking any chances here,” he chuckles.

You open the hood and look inside. Everything looks cleaner than anywhere in your apartment. You glance back at him as he walks around and it clicks where you’ve seen him before. He’s the newscaster, Solomon Savage, you’ve watched his special interviews with heroes often. You then freeze. Didn’t Luke say something about a man named Solomon?”

“What-what kind of rattle?” Your voice chokes as you try to talk.

Solomon shrugs. “Kind of a uh...tab in a can of soda sort of thing.”

You chomp down on the inside of your cheek and lean back under the hood. “Sure it just wasn’t a rock kicked up on the road? I know the road leading up  here is still gravel. I could have been-” you notice something dripping from the hood of the car. It takes shape and a face forms. It lashes out at you and you scream. You fall backwards into Solomon who grabs you by the shoulders.

“She smells like it,” the ooze from under the hood hisses.

Solomon puts his hand around your jaw and tilts your head up. “Where is it?” He asks.

“What?” You try to struggle but he only holds your thighter. Something has your hands bound and the creepy oozing creature from under the hood is getting closer and closer.

“The Omnas,” Solomon snarls. “He has the Duchess.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” You struggle but the creature is wrapping itself around you.

“She’s lying.” The voice of the creature is coming from Solomon.

“We’ll get it out of her,” Solomon says. “We always get what we want.”

You vision fades to a pinpoint and you lose consciousness.

You wake up, feeling a breeze against your face. You grumble and try to move but something is holding you close. You look up, seeing Luke and the night sky above you.

Luke squeezes you tight.

“What happened?” You gasp. “Why’d you come back? Where are we?”

Luke presses his finger to your lips. After a while, he lands in an abandoned building. You notice there are signs that he’s been living there for a few days. He wraps his arms around you, hugging you close.

“I’m ok,” you whisper. “I don’t even know what happened.”

Luke takes a speaker and holds it towards you. “Solomon took you hostage. He didn’t get far. But I had to take you.”

You touch his face. “You aren’t hurt again are you?”

“Scared,” he whispers. “I thought I was going to lose you.” He nuzzles into your palm. “I couldn’t.-”

You wrap your arms around him and he drops the speaker, it clatters to the ground and you press kisses all over his visor.

“I’m just happy I get to see you again!” You whisper as your kisses become more urgent. “I thought I never would.”

Luke’s hands move under your clothes, he touches your bare skin and he starts to buzz. He presses closer to you and you whimper as his fingers touch more intimate places.

“Luke-” you whimper.

Music begins playing from the speaker and Luke presses his forehead to yours. “I love you,” Carrie Fisher says.

You chuckle and hold his face between yours palms. “I know,” you whisper back to him. You step closer. “It’s ok. Even if this is the only time we can.”

Luke gingerly removes your clothes, careful not to rip anything or hurt you. He rubs his bigs hands down your body and his palms warm to your skin. You gasp softly as his thumbs press against your breasts. The music grows louder as his finger slips between your thighs. He rubs to your slit, pushing inside. The music shivers and crackles and Luke’s gasp comes through.

“Can you get wet?” You chuckle.

Luke cups his hand under your rear as his fingers sinks back between your folds. He rubs and strokes, making your knees go weak and your breath come out in hot clouds. You hold him close, moaning as his finger slips inside you.

The music trills and scrambles again, changing to a different song. You become aware of a glow and looking down you see that some of Luke’s plating has opened up and between his thick legs there is a glowing apparatus sticking out. It’s made of that same mesh material, but inside it’s a bright pink glow.

“Is that-” you start but then you smirk. You reach down, stroking it in your hand. The music crackles and pops and then the speaker catches on fire. Luke whirrs and beeps and his antenna flick forwards and backwards. His hands grip around your waist and he pushes you back a bit. His whole body shudders and his eyes glare at you through the visor.

You giggle and step towards him again. You wrap your hands around his shaft, pumping slowly and feeling a slick liquid ooze through the mesh. Luke clamps his hands down on your shoulders and leans his head down near yours. Radio static hisses in your ears and a low buzz vibrates over your skin.

Luke’s hand slips under your ass again and holds you up, letting you sit on his palm. You open your thighs as he moves you in closer. The tip of his shaft presses at your folds and you watch as it slowly disappears inside you. Whimpering, you take all of him, seeing his glow through your skin. You gasp and squeeze tight around him and gaze up at his face. He moves you slowly, rocking you in his palm. His sounds become more guttural, much sharper, like gears grinding and snarling.

You lay back against his arm, whining and gasping as he fills you. He’s so big but he feels so warm and nice inside. The slick fluid he oozes helps lubricate the way, making him glide despite how tight you’re stretched.

Then, there is a low vibration. You gasp and flinch, kicking your legs so your feet are pressed against his chest. “Oh god!” You cry out, “Luke!”

Luke pushes in deeper, grinding himself deep inside you. The radio static hisses and pops and the growling of the gears gets louder. You arch your back off his arm, shuddering and nearly levitating. A sweet electric current courses through veins and you can see sparks in your eyes. Luke squeals and pops and inside there is something hot flooding you.

You gasp and pant as Luke lays you down. He snuggles up beside you and covers you. You giggle and cup your hand around his cheek.

“You-” his voice crackles, “-ok?”

You kiss his visor and press your forehead to it. “Yes,” you whisper. “I’m better than ok.” You grin at him and giggle. “How about you?”

Luke nods exuberantly. He then sits up, reaching out and finding a flip phone. He places it in your hands and you open it.

“I’ll protect you,” he whispers. “I promise.” He hugs you close as you snuggle down into the bed. “Solomon will never get his hands on you again.”

“Please,” you whisper. “Let me take you to the Hephaestus School! I can’t bare the thought of you running.”

Luke squeezes his arms around you. “Fine.” he grumbles. “But only so you will be safe too.” He strokes your back. “I won’t let the Heltith touch you again.”

You cling to him, holding close. “I love you, Luke. I just want to take care of you.”

“I know,” he whispers back. “That’s what I want too.”
