Actually, he's not even a landlord because landlords have responsibilities to their tenants, Scrooge does not. He just passively makes income. Well, if Scrooge weren't fictional, I would definitely not like him. However, he is fictional and he's voiced by David Tennant so he gets a pass.

2024-09-04 19:08:27 +0000 UTCFun fact: not only was Duckworth a character from the old Ducktales cartoon, but a lot of people were wondering where he was when he didn't show up in the first few episodes, and then the creators said that we had already seen him at that point, and that caused a lot of theories about where he was...with most people speculating that a background extra seen in episode 1 that kinda looked like him was Duckworth. Turns out, he was the demon ghost from the opening all along. Safe to say, no one saw that coming.
