Old School Art: The Manimals

This was a sort of collage of a bunch of characters and comic ideas I came up with back in September of 1992. Some early Extinctioners, Mecharoos, and some X-Turtles (yeah, I made Turtle versions of the X-Men). Also the original design for Shepherd.

2023-02-23 05:38:58 +0000 UTCYeah, those events definitely influenced the design of Shepherd here. The 90s were very heavy in Neo-African aesthetics in clothing thanks to movies and music of the time period.

Not to mention that this whole thing embodies the very essence of early 90s superhero nerdome: X-Men and Ninja Turtles. :p Heh, and Umnus not letting Shepherd hog all the limelight.
