Talking with a friend yesterday got me thinking about Nextinctioners and about how many of those kinds of characters (Anthro kids with powers that would exist in the Extinctioners universe) he had, and it got me thinking. Just who has an Nextinctioner OC of their own? And if you didn't, if you did, what sort of character would it be? Like, what animal, gender, and age up to 16 would it be? I'm always curious to see what people would come up with.

I've been working on a few and here's one. Name: Maxine "Max" latrans Age: 15 Gender: Female Species: Coyote Abilities: She has the power to "possess" vehicles. Max can "possess" a vehicle by contact, giving her complete control of said vehicle and allowing it to move at speeds it normally could not as well as "go phantom" or pass through solid objects like a ghost. When she does so, upon contact with her selected vehicle what can only be described as hellfire pours from her hands and engulfs the vehicle, transforming it into something rather demonic-looking. i.e. Ghost Rider's motorcycle or similar. The vehicle is then under her control and she can make it move far faster than it normally ever could such as a freight train normally only capable of 80mph can do up to 400mph with her. Also her "go phantom" ability lets her do things such as possess a car and drive it straight through a building with no damage to the vehicle or building. The limits of her abilities are: - She must remain in physical contact with the vehicle at all times. If contact is broken, so is the possession and the vehicle will revert to normal immediately but still at whatever speed it may be going with possibly quite disastrous consequences in trying to get it safely stopped as it can no longer phase through objects. - Whatever vehicle she is possessing can't go someplace it normally couldn't such as a plane can't go underwater or a train can't drive down the road though they can pass through solid objects. Attempting such would yield results much like one would expect for say, trying to drive a boat down the street.

It wasn't a proper one because a fox/otter mix wouldn't fit (due to how inter-breeding works in the Extinctioners universe). But I did make a new one that I hope fits better this time. :) ----- Name: Reina Ito Age: 16 Gender: Female Species: Colorpoint (Siamese cat offshoot) Ability: Anti-Gravity Manipulation Reina is an artificial "Hybrid". She was created through what was called the "Guardian Project", a multi-national effort that was formed after reports of hybrid activities came to the attention of several governments. The Project was tasked with finding a way to grant humanimals capabilities comparable to a Hybrid, and so the scientists set to work researching Hybrids and technologies to emulate their abilities. Through a combination of cybernetic implants and genetic engineering, the project produced Reina, a feline who could generate small-scale dark energy fields. While dark energy is still largely hypothetical, its one confirmed effect is in how it allows her to levitate and throw objects in an "anti-gravity" bubble. The primary limitations of this ability are: - The thrown objects can be no heavier or larger than herself - She can't use it to fly, but she can use it to soften the impact of a fall. - The implants can be disrupted or disabled by certain external factors.

Name: Taella Age: 16 Concept: A teenage bluejay farmgirl who developed thermal powers and is convinced that she's the descendant or reincarnation of a phoenix, not knowing that's impossible. Body shape: Curvy and strong, but not overweight. Result of farm work and farm meals. Attitude: Not book smart, but has a good amount of common sense--at least for her age. Friendly and open to most people. Powers: Increasing or decreasing temperature in an area. At the moment, mostly uses them to give herself updrafts while flying; if trained, she could cause windstorms or control the weather in a small area, but she's far from trained at the moment.

2022-05-29 21:55:44 +0000 UTCMasa Yoshida 16 Male Siberian Weasel The son of a martial artist and swordsman whose mother was lost in the Extinctioners conflict, trained heavily by his father to defend himself in the ever changing and tense world around them. His powers are that his body can generate high-frequency wave vibrations that he can use to channel into sharpened objects and incredibly intensify their effectiveness. Retains a very cool and positive outlook on things which was also apart of his father's teachings (his gifts and lessons are merely for self-defense), at times he can even be quite playful. However, seeing as a new conflict is brewing, he decides to join the Nextinctioners to try and better understand the world around him and possibly make a difference. Still love the design you made for me of him last year too. :D
