Proof of Life #220: Behind closed windows...
Added 2024-04-29 13:50:48 +0000 UTCHolà fine people reading this, I hope you're having a good morning/afternoon/evening! I'm writing to you as I'm wrapping up another 2-hour work session which was spent finishing Rose's 2nd scene and working on silhouettes so I could give you this image above : )
So, the more I work, the farther the finish line looks^^ I've now finished 3 scenes in total, tested two, and I'm slowly getting towards the end story-wise. Still, I have two more scenes to do and a bunch more stuff as well, so I still can't say for sure when the release date might be.
I've tried to make every scene on the longer side and packed with as many custom animations or variations of said animations as I could. I think this update is shaping up to be a good one (if I dare say so myself), with plenty of stuff such as new portraits (make-up version), new outfits, new maps, new temporary characters, new Triple Trident cards and opponents, and plenty more, but I'll need you to be a bit patient until I can finally release it. I really want to finish this main quest before the release so I can also add the two new portraits for Rose and Cyanna. Thank you!
That's it for this PoL! Not much to say, I'm sorry. I'll spend this week working on the story and hopefully I can get to the last scene of the update (not accounting for the extra scene) by the next PoL.

A Netori game would certainly be a departure in terms of tone and it would probably force you to give the main character a voice, but there is definitely crossover between people who like NTR and people who want the power trip of netori. The focus on corruption in the HC games would work well with netori. Maybe instead of making a netori game have a netori side story in a future HC?

2024-04-30 22:39:25 +0000 UTCI'm not gonna cancel my sub either by the way, i'm in the $9 tier every month and i'm gonna go back to that after this one expires so i'm still gonna be able to play the game as soon as it comes out anyways, and that's all i really care about at the end of the day, obviously i'm not gonna say no to the extra scene if i'm gonna have the option to see it with this sub, but again, i got what i wanted from this tier already so everything else is just a bonus. Although i'm not above charity so my DMs are always open for stray links if you're feeling generous. ;)

2024-04-30 17:54:23 +0000 UTCBy the way don't get me wrong, i'm not bummed about not being able to see the extra scene when it comes out, to be honest i don't really care about it now that i know that neither Rose nor Cyanna will be a part of the scene, the only reason i upgraded my tier in the first place was because some dipshit planted a bug in my ear a couple of months back by saying that the extra scene for Update11 was not only the best extra scene in the whole game so far but he was pretty certain that it was one of the best scenes in the entire series period. I've been curious about that scene for at least a month now so i only needed a little nudge in the right direction to make that leap, and you saying that the next scene is gonna be "kinda nice" (genius marketing skills by the way) was more than enough, even though it had nothing to do with the extra scene that i was curious about.

To be honest i was actually asking it kinda jokingly cause my next billing date seems so far from now that i was almost a 100% certain that it would be released before my sub expires, after all Update12 was released on the 24th of March so i feel like me assuming that Update13 would have a release date before the 19th of May is pretty reasonable i feel like. xd

Couldn't you just wait until the release, upgrade your pledge then downgrade it right after? That way you won't be charged twice. Or where you planning on cancelling your membership before the 19th of May?

I thought they stop progressing unless you continue the main story, so unless you have gotten so far with the main quest that involves Cyanna, then you wouldn't be able to progress with Haylen's side content. If you can do all of the side quests without touching the main quest then you are right, it would be a massive pain. And the idea of fully replacing Jazon with Ulrod isn't exactly what I had in mind. My idea was to keep Jazon as her main partner but if Ulrod wants some fun with her then he can and Jazon must listen to him. Which means the majority of the scenes and freeroam content is still Haylen and Jazon but it gives something more to that relationship. I don't mind if you do none of what I suggested, I'm here either way supporting you. Give me some quality corruption and I'm a happy man :)

Haylen's plotline is optional and could be done at any moment in the main storyline from the moment it's unlocked, which means Cyanna could be a different stages of corruption, wearing different outfits, etc... and it would be a bit too difficult to keep track of every potential situations involving Cyanna based on the player's progress in the main quest. There's also the risk of turning Jazon into an even weaker antagonist in your scenario, basically replacing him with Ulrod. He could still act as a spark to ignite some change into Haylen's plotline though.

2024-04-29 14:37:33 +0000 UTCAfter playing the latest update with Haylen and the upcoming update planting the seeds for future sharing content, it's gotten me thinking about ways for sharing to be done with Haylen. Since I personally find Jazon the weakest antagonist, I think it gives Haylen and him the perfect opportunity to do a cucker becoming a cuckee plot. Jazon and Ulrod have similar backgrounds in the sense that they don't have parents and that's the main reason Haylen fell for Jazon (her motherly instincts). They are both part of the City Guard so they should interact at some point. And I think Ulrod taking Haylen, Cyanna's adoptive mother, is something he'd do since he was robbed of something like that. It knocks some humiliation into Jazon who could try and defy Ulrod but obviously can't beat him so he has to accept what is asked of him. Haylen is given to another, opening her up to being used by people that Ulrod commands. And it will move along Cyanna's corruption. Cyanna can either not know about it and is forced to watch Haylen being taken by Ulrod or she is an active part of getting Haylen with Ulrod. The idea of Cyanna watching Haylen with the guy she chose to be her first and even possibly aiding him into getting with her mother is hot. It also opens up future scenes between the two of them which is all kinds of depraved. Whatever happens, I would like to see Jazon pop up when it comes to the City Guard stuff. I know he's a slacker but he feels very disconnected currently which works with Nezar, since the magic shop is very separate from the main plot but not so much with Jazon, and he needs something more when it comes to his character.
