Because for some odd reasons, they cut content in the new anime, one specific character, that will become relevant in a later arc. Because they cut him, a version of his scenes from the first episodes was reintroduced later as flashbacks, in the mentioned arc. It's just for your information, it's also fine to just get introduced to him later on.. it's just more context.

2025-11-19 18:40:58 +0000 UTCThis is a classic. A wild and surprising ride. The manga is still ongoing, but plagued with massive hiatuses, due do its author's health. Which is why the first anime adaptation from 1999 was discontinued. This newer adaptation goes further with a big arc, and then kinda wrap it up on a decent conclusion.
