Sythe and Maren are such adorable snuggled burritos, and it looks like Maren's just chilling with a catnap (hehe) and they're just chill and relaxed. Red is (for a change) just enjoying the quiet, and I love, I LOVE Raine just gently tugging Rose's arm as if to say 'come on, sit with us-you're part of the gathering too!' Happy travelers resting together, augh, my heart, it is a perfect little picture. (And I see that from the window smudges, Natani and Keith are STILL at it with the wood chopping competition, that's very funny! Though perhaps it's just the shapes of the frost, or a mischevious dragon cat, or...well, anything.) And of course Nibbly MUST be there. How could I have forgotten about her? Settled lightly on Sythe's lap like a jack russel, all cozy and warm. Thanks for this Tom, it looks beautiful. A pleasant sketch for the end of the year...

2024-12-29 21:59:52 +0000 UTCI have an aunt who is very much like Rose here– is constantly playing the servant, asking people if they want this or that, if she can make some tea or hot chocolate for everybody, if they want another helping of something during family meals, etc. Sometimes I just wanna say “No, I got what I want, now just chill and have your own stuff along with us!” She sometimes has a hard time resisting that mode/urge.

The direction in canon now makes me feel better, and this sketch makes me think she's much happier with her newfound family group!
