Expanded quite a bit from the original sketch. This piece was originally worked on earlier in the year. I had it marked as "complete" in my work folder, not realizing it hadn't been finished and posted yet. Whoops! Luckily I was reminded of this and managed to put a lot of finishing touches to the final image.
Hope you like the final result! I enjoy doing emotional scenes like these. Nora isn't always so irreverent. She doesn't like to take life seriously, but even she gets emotional sometimes.

2020-11-28 09:52:27 +0000 UTCNora's dialogue adds so much to her. Well done...but it's gut-wrenching to say the least. Not only was Nora unable to alleviate her friend's grieving, she was forced to watch as he became a nightmare incarnate...the tragedy strikes hard.

When my wife died, I spent a lot of time dwelling on what I could have done differently. Sometimes I still do. It is doesn't matter, though. There is nothing left to tell.
