2019-08-24 04:18:22 +0000 UTCInfact it seems most Keidran are Red, Humans Blue, and Basitians Yellow. non-primary colors are probably the sign of a supernatural ability. Not potency. Natani has a red aura but is a very skilled entirely self taught mage. That's probably why Trace finds the Green interesting. It's a non primary color. It means Rose has a non-standard magical ability and he's seen the color before.

2019-08-23 23:15:58 +0000 UTCSo I just dived through the ENTIRE comic researching when characters used magic or had soul-affecting magic used on them. The idea that Trace found Rose's Inner Light to be green intrigued me. I came to the following conclusions: Primary colors are the most common. (Red, Yellow, Blue. Particularly for Keidran, Basitian, and Humans respectively, but this can vary) while complimentary colors are rarer. (Orange, Purple, Green, as above with Rose) Black tinged magic is almost always Dark Magic (It's worth noting almost all Mask magic/auras are Black as well.) and Trace's Blue/White aura inverts when he uses Dark Magic. White-touched auras seem to signify significant magical power. (Trace(Blue/White), Euchre(Green/White), and Nora(Yellow/White). With 1 character, confirmed by Tom himself to have the most non-draconic magical potential in the series having a pure-white aura, Raine. Now assuming Trace knows Euchre, due to selecting him as a Master Templar. And *might* know about his ability to become Keidran (This is not confirmed in any way at least, though Euchre isn't the only Keidran Templar... his status as one is as a human.) So Trace may have noticed the Green Aura as both uncommon enough and worth some possible connection to his colleague. Eye color and soul-color seem pretty correlated, but they're not always the same. "Red" (Who I'm convinced has the real name Reed, has green eyes, the nickname Red, and a *Blue* aura.)
