and the “big mom” and “big mam” thing is just miss spelling from the subtitle. In Japanese katakana it sounds as “mom” but when you directly change to alphabet it will written as “mam”

The translations being incorrect are just a misunderstanding of the meaning of Big Mom, just like how the last island on the Grand Line was called Raftel for most of the series, but only recently began being called Laugh Tale, specifically because of more clarity around the translation.
