While I understand why people compare it to Slime so much I feel I need to point out an important difference. That Spider Girl has to work to earn her power while Rimuru was for the most part given it. Before anybody gets mad I do not mean that in a bad way it's just a different approach Spider is more focused on starting as a weakling and she has to survive and grow stronger a survival isekai while Slime quickly shifted into a political style anime. I like Spider because it is more like what I assumed Slime was going to be. A story of someone reincarnated as a weak monster trying to survive.

The human side of the story can be quite bland from time to time, however i can still totally recommend this anime. I really really enjoyed it and i'll definitely read the LN soon. And this anime had 1 very unique characteristic for me. This is the first anime (for me) that gets carried really hard by the VA instead of the story or action (both are still quite good). Please react to it completely in the future. :)

The manga is seen more as a supplement to the light novels in the Spider community because it mostly ignores the alternate perspectives that are really important in the long run. The anime does use the fantastic light novel (if you are – unlike Ruff – someone that reads books this is the thing you should look after) as source material. But it had to skip many fine details that i.e. make the human side way more enjoyable and explain certain things to speed through the content for its season conclusion. But it gives enough hints to piece even some things together that the anime hasn't told yet – this requires a keen and open mind.

That is a cool and different "mc becomes super op" story but if u wont react to it I recommend reading the manga instead as the anime adaption is kinda low budget (cgi is terrible, if u cant stand bad cgi a hard watch for sure) but still acceptable.

I like this serie but I definitly love more the manga for that one, if you have one to choose I would recommand to read it, it's a fun and enjoyable experience.

haha fun fact the voice actress who plays Kumoko the Spider (Aoi Yuuki) also plays Tanya from Tanya the Evil and Diane from Seven Deadly Sins. She totally nails this role shes a great VA And yes the storyline definitely develops overtime and gets better and better. This show is one of my favorites for sure recommend

Spider is frickin great ruff and I think you would have a lot of fun potentially turning it into a stream react series, even if it has to get put on the back burner for a little while since you have Dr. stone, Shield Hero, and Fire Force that I know you want to watch

Um I don’t know if it’s bragging or sad but there are are many days I watch about 40+ episodes of anime a day. You can do it easier if you skip beginning and ends plus skipping recap I will tell you that that take between 12 and 14 hours to do

Ah, yes, one of my favorite new series this year. Such a wonderful first season! In fact, the only thing wrong with this one are the negative nancies who bitch and moan whenever the humans get more screentime than the spider. But I digress. Hope to see more reactions to this sometime in the future.
